Lolicon Kidnaps 2-Year-Old from Arcade

childing-holding-hands.jpg

Police have arrested a man for kidnapping a 2-year-old girl from an arcade with the intent of sexually assaulting her.

The incident took place at a Sapporo game centre (arcade), where two parents who lived nearby took their 2-year-old daughter to the premises whilst they played.

They apparently left the infant unattended for long enough for a 28-year-old man to take the child by her hand and lead her off.

According to police, he took the girl away from the arcade on foot, but as she started crying he took her to another game centre some 450m away where he handed her over to staff saying she was a lost child.

Staff became suspicious and called police, who arrested the man on suspicion of kidnapping the girl with the intent of sexually assaulting her.

As well as criticising the actions of the alleged perpetrator, some concern has also been directed against the parents for taking their 2-year-old to an arcade and then leaving her unattended, not even noticing her abduction.

Some have also expressed suspicion that this may be another case of heavy-handed police arresting a man for the crime of helping a child, as it is apparent from the wording of the report that he has not confessed and that it is the police who consider his intent was to kidnap and rape a 2-year-old.

He is trying to say that there was a kid in Belgium who drowned in a sandbox (Don't know how that is even remotely possible). And passerby came to his aid and gave him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation but, was later accused of being a pedophile. He deserves to be a hero for saving a child's life, not a pedophile scorned by society.

if you're innocent, things like this will make it so much harder to help children when they are really lost or whatever the issue. i know for sure i'll be thinking twice about helping a child in need if i were in japan, or even maybe here in the US.

That man has pure bad luck whatever his intention is , but i think the one people should blame is the parent for leave 2yrs old child unattended inside arcade which lead to targetted by kidnapper.

and again japan has many pedo/loli lover....

Sadly that is correct. These days, if you see a crying lost child, you might as well leave her/him to their fate. Trying to help means being branded a lolicon/attempted kidnapper.

Do they have footage of him kidnapping the child or are the police just accusing him of the act with no evidence to back it up? It'll be a real shame if the guy is innocent but still gets in trouble for doing those irresponsible parents a favor by helping their child.

"...it is the police who consider his intent was to kidnap and rape a 2-year-old."

Who knows maybe the man wanted to invite her to a game of scrabble? Arcades aren't meant for 2-year-old girls after all...

I'd love to think he was innocent but he actually took the girl 450m away, that itself is suspicious enough. Being in to loli is really a mystery I see 2D and drool starts to come out but when I see the 3D and it's relentless noise and annoyingness(is this even a word?) I immediately go NVM Motherf****r!

Considering that he took her to another arcade instead of handing her to some shopkeeper or something, it's very likely that the kid knew the word for game (center) and he went to the closes one he could find.

_According_to_police_, he took the girl away from the arcade on foot, but as she started crying he took her to another game centre some 450m away where he handed her over to staff saying she was a lost child.

Maybe someone else did try and kidnap her and this guy found her somewhere.

what I want to know is whether there are Presumption of Innocence in Japan.

I mean, seriously, if we get rid of the police suspicion/presumption and take the fact only, this man seems to deserve at least that.

Well at least it's not like here, where a girl is "lost", you bring her back to her parents...and then the parents rob you at gunpoint.

"but as she started crying he took her to another game centre some 450m away where he handed her over to staff saying she was a lost child."

The staff at the first arcade center weren't good enough for a lost child.

If he wanted to rape her, he would've done it instead of handing her over to staff at an arcade.

And why would the staff contact the police to arrest a man that brought a lost child to them?

I was thinking the same thing he would have dragged her into a bathroom or threw her in the trunk of his car etc.

If there are any CCTV cameras they could prove guilt or innocence.

Most of the arcades at least the one in the US have them so the evidence is there.
You need to get those tapes right away when you think a crime has been committed as the tapes could be recorded over.
The HD ones work like a tivo they use a FIFO.

Suspicion is worth less then dog flop as it's almost always wrong.

See you answered yourself. There is more to this story than reported, the person who called the police had more of a reason than we know to call. Maybe the guy was acting suspicious or he had been seen in the area before scouting out kids, who knows. There was definitely something that threw up some red flags for him to be arrested.

    he has not admitted it
there are no witnesses confirming his intent
only him leading an unattended child to the cops
maybe that really is what he was trying to do and he would not be the first for sure, but atill, a 2yo? considering the hole sizes and distribution, thats like going for bowling balls...
and he would have been better off just scramming like he had nothing to do with anything

They don't seem very skilled in any sort of forensics or detective work.

The first thing you do is question witnesses and request copies of any security camera footage.
Even the dullest cop should know anyone who's overly hysterical is not going to be able to give a reliable facts and will mostly just spout noise.
Was the guy trying to gag the child and why did he return her?
Most sexual predators are often fearful of being caught and would just abandon a would be victim.

Sometimes it turns out there was no crime and you must accept that vs thinking you need to make an arrest every time you're called out.

But the percentage of cases that actually make it from suspicion to arrest to questioning to trial is minuscule at each step. So, in the end, their actual arrest to actual conviction rate is much smaller per capita than the U.S.

Basically the D.A. only goes after surefire cases, hence the high trial -> "guilty" verdict percentage.

This guy will be let off with no charges at some point. No way he makes it to trial unless they have solid proof or some "confession". (Of course, that brings in a whole new question of "fairness", but that's for another day)
