Otaku presented with the shinobi mission failure movies in sengoku jidai war game Shogun 2: Total War can’t help but comment on the high levels of moe exhibited by blundering ninja failing to execute their duties…

The actual game is very good, although Sega quality shines through in some spots, such as with poor graphical performance and support for more recent DirectX 11 cards left for an upcoming patch, dubious “multicore” support (there is some suspicion that the developer’s terse claim that it “supports” multicore CPUs actually only means it will run on multicore chips), and AI which cheats outrageously.

I've played this game for what 30 hours in campaign mode and only seen one of those. Maybe my shinobi are a bit too good. :(

I just got that dream scene when I use the ninja for the first time in my campaign. It is so hilarious how that ninja is still alive after all the mess lol.

Sega is only the publisher, they didn't develop anything in the game so heh.

I enjoyed the original Shogan TW and Rome TW. Empire left me cold. Not sure about this.

My favourite clan: Uesugi.
Poor thing... Uesugi was raped by Date, Takeda and even Ikko Ikki if you play on Legendary difficult
I only had small problems with Takeda clan, but their horses couldn't go up the high cliff in one of the provinces. That's where I moved my archers (Uesugi had kick-ass archers). And it's paaah! It's gone... Takeda was no more. I always enjoyed using terrain in big battles. And one more thing. I'm no expert, but there were no such clans as Date or Ikko in "Shogun: TW".

Those are names of people, not clans. Takeda can refer to the clan leader, Takeda Shingen.
My point is that the ONLY problems were caused by Takeda. Owning ALL other clans was just a matter of time.

This game bored me very quickly. It was fun for a couple of hours but then it just got repetitive and boring.
I played Empire and borrowed the 1st Shogun from a friend and found both to be very, very boring, even though he kept telling me how exciting both games are.
You should try Medieval 2 Total War with Stainless Steel add on. I find the battles there much more amusing. For me in ETW and NTW only maps were nice, battles not so much.
It's time... for total war! Hooray!!! The best thing about total war franchise is the depiction of corpses on the battlefield. I really adore it. ^_^
