New K-ON! Goes to University

K-ON!’s upcoming manga continuation is due to cover the university life of the girls, at the same time as Azunyan and company continue at school.
According to the announcement, K-ON! will continue in Manga Time Kirara, covering the university antics of the now graduated girls, whilst Manga Time Kirara Carat will carry a separate tale covering the high school antics of Azusa and company.
K-ON! Kirara will go on sale April 9th, whilst K-ON! Carat is due to start April 28th.
Although hardly overburdened with plot to begin with, having all the girls attend the same university might prove something of a stretch – though the awkwardness of this pales in comparison to improbability of keeping all the girls single and uninvolved whilst at university, a situation which the fanbase may not welcome any change in…

Manga Time Kirara (May issue) will resume the story from when Yui, Mio, Ritsu, and Mugi are all attending college. It will debut on April 9th.
Kirara Carat (June issue) will carry a version of the story featuring Azusa, Ui, and Jun in highschool. It will commence in April 28th.

To be honest, I don't know anything about NANA. Is it very popular? And don't think that just because it has a plot, doesn't mean that it's a good anime/manga.
It's very good, but it illustrates one problem some people have with drama: sometimes things happen that you'd rather hadn't.

Talk about milking a franchise, though I guess it makes sense given how strangely popular this series has become. Even K-ON!! lost its original focus, whatever that was, so I'm cautiously curious to see how they manage to stretch this even further. I mean, as much as the anime was entertaining, the 4-koma manga is mediocre-at-best, and the manga sales pre-anime speaks for itself. No complaints here, though, since this means that I can at least look forward to the inevitable anime adaptation.

Sure everyone likes to day dream about 16 year old school girls, but I also like to see 16 year old school girls grow up too.
One of the best anime series I have ever watched was Clannad, simply because they went and gave the cast lives after high school.
No I don't require the girls to fuck everything in sight while in university. Would be nice if some of the girls demonstrated a normal progression of human relationships. I don't expect them ALL to magically find boy friends.
