The director of Puella Magi Madoka Magica has spoken of his delight at seeing ordinary bishoujo schoolgirls speaking of Madoka on the train.
Madoka series director Yukihiro Miyamoto tweets with a report of the happy event:
“When I was on the train two high school girls started talking about Madoka in front of me. I was absolutely delighted! And they were both total hotties! And they were both ordinary high school girls!”
Just what it was they were discussing is not mentioned, but it would likely be safe to wager it had something to do with the evil of QB or the high death count the show is becoming known for…

No. It's a completely natural reaction and there's nothing shady about it, not even for "classy" male directors. Witnessing such an event makes you regain faith in society. Just think of what "normal" highschool girls are usually concerned with. It's a truly happy event indeed. Especially for the director. Hope may not be lost for humanity after all.

This show is gaining attention for breaking and killing all the things that used to be sacred and untouchable in the non-hentai mahou shoujo genre. Anyone who's paid a speck of attention on latest anime releases would open their eyes to it.

Death in Madoka is an important plot instrument of an entirely fictional story. If you don't like characters dying, then go back to watching Bleach.
