Catherine Coming to US After All

Atlus will be releasing an international version of “HD adult horror title” Catherine (which certainly sounds a lot better than “puzzle game with sex”) after all, with its US release dated for summer 2011.
The announcement is not wholly surprising given it was the only possible explanation for Atlus going to the trouble of porting the title to the 360 – presumably the previous comment can be dismissed as a marketing misfire.
The game can be pre-ordered now on both the PS3 and Xbox 360, with its release dated July 26th.

I wouldn't be pissed off if they change the PS3 cover because if that happens the women around me won't think I'm buying hentai. So I don't care one way or another, but if they're going to have a sexy cover they might as well make it more sexy.
Also, we all knew Atlus were just being cunts, of course they're going to release here. However, the part about being super cunts and never releasing their games for PC is probably true.

"HD" is not a genre.
In Japan it is.
Considering how the game doesn't have actual nudity or actual sex on screen and is in fact 100% a puzzle game with anime cutscene facade.... It's probably less offensive to some than letting Katie die in Dead Rising 2.

Atlas makes games for the consoles, not for PC. To my knowledge, they've /never/ made a game for the PC.
