Japan’s top broadcast watchdog has published complaints denouncing Puella Magi Madoka Magica as unfit for TV.
The nation’s main broadcast censorship body, the BPO, published the following complaint about Madoka:
“It is a late night anime, but it still had scenes of a little girl having her head bitten off by a monster!
The producers have stated their intent to go on profiting from these cruel scenes each week.
Even if it is late at night, it is outrageous for TV programmes to be so flagrantly profiting from this sort of horrible material.”
Notably, Ore no Imouto suffered similar criticism.
Rather less surprisingly, Ochinko has also been coming under fire:
“It may be broadcast in a late slot, but it’s still based on incest. Scenes in which characters expose their underwear with the intent of titillating the viewer are frequent, as are scenes with clothed sexual touching. How does this differ from the contents of an adult manga?
I think this is inappropriate material for age-unrestricted broadcasts.”
Ishihara’s ban will presumably see such filth purged from the airwaves soon enough.
May Madoka have mercy on Ishihara’s soul for his sins.

I have two things to point out. Violent main stream animes like Naruto with much more fan service and blood yet wheres the critism there? This is a late night anime with no flashing panties, crazy bouncing boobs, and covers there body like real everyday clothes. Sure there is a scene here and there a little the it does get violent but no where close is it like anything else. Its not mindless nor pointless when they happen. They happen for a twist in plot and make it amazing. You censorship people are being absurd. Have you looked at any anime other then this before? Have you seen how lewd so many other animes are? Yet you are targeting this? As clean good anime gets if you dont like it, please kiss my ass.

hey heres an Idea How bout we quit the censorship of japan’s art? Too cruel? look at H.R.Giger most of his works depict sex and torture yet we call him artist and people still get to watch, its simple ppl dont like it don’t watch it.
You no longer really see animes like this fit for teens which is sad. Everything seems to be censored and “kiddafied” as of now adays because the content is to explicit. The only thing is it isn’t, look at all the other stuff on the tv then complain. You attacked one harmless anime and yet you don’t even attack shows like south park, futurama, or other stuff on adult swim. Its so messed how kids now are being sheltered and don’t understand s♥♥t then they are thrown out in the real world without understanding anything. Yes the content is graphic to an extent but there is much worse out there and it really is a good anime that captivates attention, and finally is something that teens can watch and enjoy without going oh s♥♥t not another kid show. Man cartoons in the past use to have more violence then they do now, now they are just stupid and have no point I would rather have shows with feeling and meaning then just pointless comedy.
