Creepy otaku and sexy seiyuu were both well in evidence at the recent “Come With Me!” K-ON! live concert, which Japanese TV saw fit to cover – it has elevated K-ON! to the status of “social phenomenon,” although to look at the scenes it broadcast, this may not be meant as a compliment…

People enjoying themselves.
Success.
...and at the end of the day, that's all that really matters. Haters can hate, but no one can prevent you from enjoying what you do.
I'm so jelly TT_TT
@Actar,K-ON!! FTW
*Wishing i was born in Japan.*
Wish I was there.....*cuts wrist* I feel better now...*sobs* XD lawl
ishithara can...
Speaking of Ishihara..
When will is his term over?
Offtopic, but that second panel guy on some of the pictures, shown in those little boxes up at the corner? He creeps me out more. Possibly to do with the fact he unmistakenly looks exactly like the teacher from the 1st Battle Royale movie..
...Am I the only one that see's the similarities?
because he IS the teacher in the movie lol
It's okay to love K-ON or whatever and be a fan of it... but don't do it like a fag. >.<
That's all I'm saying.
*ducks from an incoming shoe*
Nothing wrong with having fun...
I like K-ON! enough to buy the first concert's DVD even though they were all mainly miming, and the only two songs they actually play live sound shitty after having heard that song in pro quality all these years. I still won't regret buying that for the novelty. If I weren't burdened with work and cash, I would like to be there myself.
But the levels of obsession we see here? Guys wearing cat ears? Bringing their goddamn dakimakura along?
That just ain't right, man...
I wouldn't say wearing cat ears is a part of "obsession." It's just harmless fun. I mean, just a short while ago I ended up wearing cat ears for some time during a rousing (and more importantly, absolutely hilarious, even if somewhat frightening) game of 王様 (though I should mention they were put on my head by somebody else for the purpose of doing a "sexy dance," to be more precise, and I can't even dance normally). Does that make me obsessed? ;)
Hell, I'd wear them for fun just to see the reaction of the Japanese as I walked around town and university. Though I'd better not tell a certain acquintance that, or I'll really end up doing it. >_>
Anyhow, even if they bring their dakimakura's along, who cares? As long as they're having fun, all the more power to them. Not like it's harming anybody. :)
I'm saying that I dislike being associated with people who are in enough denial to bring their dakimakuras around as if they're real people. Some of them are probably only doing it just to annoy the others, but being this is Japan, it's difficult for me not to think that they're serious.
Some other people in there were clearly just trying to have fun. Guys like in 9, 25 and 26...
But then we have the fatso in drag in 23, and a guy holding a dakimakura in his car. What did he say?
"Romance? Naw, I don't think(there is). Even if there is, I won't believe it".
He could be just honest, but I can't think of that without applying some demented Japanese otaku logic that we have often seen on this site considering he's holding a dakimakura beside him.
I wish they had just kept their sexual fantasies in their own private confinement as opposed to letting the public know about them.
"I'm saying that I dislike being associated with people who are in enough denial to bring their dakimakuras around as if they're real people."
That is the only god damn thing I found bad about the whole video. Everything was great, and I was having fun seeing the reaction of the hosts.
Though at the dakimakura part, I can't help but look at the their faces and sense a strong awkwardness in the situation. And I'm a bit disappointed that they even went that far for showing that.
Dude, wearing cat ears is the tamest of the tame.
But those otaku are FUGLY !
PS: who thumb down this post is fugly otaku. the end
I could say those women achieved something... They got those otaku out of their rooms.
k-on is the best thing in this whole world
I'll have the time of my life if i had the chance to go.
If by brother, you mean ugly out of place unwanted step brother, then yeah ok.
I wish I was there
i'd sell my soul to see that concert T_T
Just wish it, and I will make it come true.
With Love, QB.
I'd take your soul.
u should sell it earlier if u really love it
Selling your kidneys would be cheaper.
a k-on hologram concert, would be kick ass awesome!!!
I'm there~~~
Finally this shit is ending! AT LEAST! In couple months, nobody will ever talk about it. Btw, this is FALSE happiness if you don't know.
True happiness is only for the author and the guys involved into this ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$).
I keep thinking. What does the people working on this like the seiyuus think everytime they do their work.
To Anon:
Good luck with that the manga is restarting... Muahahahahahahah.
does that mean the story line has changed???? if it is NOOOO!!!
lol @ Beat Takeshi not giving two shits
Lol, from those screencaps it looks like they just cut and paste the same pic of him on almost every frame..
Sorry to spoil it for you, but a show doesn't sell that much just because it's popular only among creepy otaku. It sells well because it manages to to appeal to otaku aswell as many more casual anime viewers.
Personally, K-on isn't really my type of anime. But it's not just for the creepy otaku, I agree. I'd look at anime like Queen's Blade for that. ;)
Just kidding. :P
Just imagine how the live event for Queen's Blade would be though. Or House of the Dead. That'd just be bizarre. :P
i love k-on just for the music and a little for the moe because i love playin bass and guitar
Why are you ignoring the possibility that there ARE that many creepy otaku...?
Maybe creepy is not the right word. Otaku with shit tastes.
Besides, its popularity only stems from a stupid trend on 2ch which turned into a religious following.
It's nothing past the level of something like a stupid meme blowing up on the internet.
yeah, my girl classmates love them as much as i am
MOE MOE KYUN!

FUCKING FAGGOTS GOT LUCKY!!
...Bah, they probably happen to be Malaysian students taking courses in Japan.
I'm a troll
I hate japan and otaku
fuck you all, sad fuckers. May you one day get a girlfriend, japan sucks
Nekomimi Modo...he's doing it wrong.
Government Tools... Government tools and supporters of TAF everywhere
I watched up until the 3:10 mark, and all I gotta say is this: Oh my god, the horror.
i was too annoyed with how obvious it was that they weren't actually playing the instruments in the first concert to really enjoy it. props to yoko hikasa for actually trying to play left handed though.
I'm going to be blunt, otakus in Japan are fugly. Otakus in America are more hipster like and normal looking. As always, the girls in Japan are always hotter.
That guy in top left corner looks like that guy from battle royale
some of those pathetic guys actually look kinda cute, however pathetic it may be, much better than the ass ugly one as of late anyway. I'd date one.
