Moeblob fans have rejoiced at the official dating of the upcoming K-ON!! movie, due within the year.
The movie is now officially dated as opening on the 3rd of December 2011.
With the manga restarting and a movie in the works, just what form the new stories will take is the subject of intense speculation – probably the first and only time K-ON!’s plot has been the subject of any attention at all, in fact.

Wish it'd be on par with Haruhi's movie. Theatrical Anime fps rate is nice, but I'd still like to see an interesting plot aside from drinking tea all day long at 120 frames per second.
...Where the hell did you hear it's 120 frames per second? I've heard a lot of different numbers over the years, but that's by far the most ridiculous one I've ever encountered.
Looking forward to it. December sure seems like a long way away. Plus second Nanoha movie coming out in 2012.

Most excellent news. I ran out of animu to watch and just bothered to finally picked this up. I got Season 2 in HD and man it looks so much better. Almost done and have something to look forward to. As much as I like the show, I'll never go insane with moe merchandise.
I like how this complements Minami-ke in a good way.
