    you should see his concept works then...

    this is a sad gallery, the guy rocks at scenery, mechs, weapons and whatnot, these girls are actually their worst works, go see him in the channel

    His mecha work is amazing; some of that stuff is slated for rts concept work - I wonder if that's a game that's being made?

    Im looking at his concept art.

    That gun looks like some
    combination of a vector and a scar.

    That weird metal part over the barrel of the smg and assault rifle make me think the artist doesnt understand the concept of a retractable stock.

    It's way too soon to call him the next Tony. His work is all right, (not going to go into anatomy because im no expert) but still has a lot of room for improvement.

    i too find quite a few mistakes in anatomy and construction.
    makes me find hard to understand why some pics while obviously older look better than some of the newer ones.

    The skirts sold me, 009 Was of particular note and that was probably his most clothed drawing too :O
    Needs more glasses and that's a winner in my book, but by far a winner regardless :D

    Well, he certainly copies Tony's style to various degrees and isn't really bad at it but he uses rougher pencils for outlining which is noticeable.

    Also he doesn't pay enough attention to feet.

    It is true that about 60% of his pictures share likeness with Russian traditional cartoon drawing approach (like narrow, bushy lips or slight facial features) but I guess that's a part of belonging to a different culture, everyone has that to a certain degree.

    An artist inspired by the great Tony Taka? Karanak's art style is very similar to Tony's but nonetheless, he's great too.

    A couple pictures look "lifted" from others in a way, but others are fine... (just a feeling)

    I only say this due to inconsistencies in style when they are THIS detailed with some areas...

    Also, some of TT's work only seems disproportionate due to odd angles and stretching (tbh I can totally pull off the miku-twist, imagine it being a freeze frame at the peak of a twirl)

    Tbh he beats Tony. Tony usually screws up the anatomy, making the pics look weird.

    i have never heard of such thing as stealing someones drawing style yu draw how you draw. thats just how you draw, there are 999999+++ ppl who draw like me that deoesn't mean that we all plagiarise for each other. The artist really has talent, his art really does have that "russian" feeling. His art is just as good as Tony's there is no "this guy is far from Tony" if you think that way obviously you are just a hater

    P.S. I read all "In soviet Russia..." jokes and they suck, you dissapoint me.

    his drawings share a lot of similarities with tony, particularly the face, but only with some of his girls, mainly the blonde ones.

    he's not as consistent as tony but then again that's probably for the better on his part.

    Anyone who thinks Karanak is only a "decent" artist because he can't draw anime style obviously doesn't know much about art.

    This guy shows a great flexibility in his work and style, unlike Japanese artists who can only draw "big eyes, small lips, big boobs". Give him any art situation and I'm sure he'll adapt. Game concepts, anime, illustration, you name it, this guy can obviously deliver. He's a pro. Anyone who compares him to Tony taka or any other ho-hum manga/anime artist should get their heads out of the anime style and look at other, more serious artworks. You'll be much more educated.

    Even the pros at Conceptart.org knows he's got talent. And those guys can kick any Japanese anime artist's ass any day of the week.

    And yes, plus what should be said is that this Karanak can draw more than just anime. And he in a sense is waaay superior than Tony. Dig his dA, I assure you'll find concepts & arts Tony himself would be dying to master.

    As I see it, he mostly only does anime as a hobby. You wouldn't want to mess with him when he gets serious...
