Mio Akiyama seiyuu Yoko Hikasa recently discovered K-ON!’s popularity apparently does not extend to IdolMaster fans – she was humiliatingly snubbed and even given the cold shoulder by fellow seiyuu at a recent event.
Hikasa reports attending a recent live IdolMaster event as a regular attendee, but far from being mobbed by adoring fans after being uncovered as she seems to have expected, she was ignored completely and not a single attendee even recognised her.
Feeling lonely, she resolved to greet Haruka seiyuu Eriko Nakamura and then leave, but was rebuffed at the backstage reception.
After managing to wrangle her way backstage, even Nakamura snubbed her, warmly greeting her with “What? Why are you here? Nobody asked you to come…”

Incoming war between HTT and Idolmaster?
This is weird. How could they ignore her? I know I won't.
To be honest, if I don't expect to see someone, I usually don't, even if they're right in front of me. I'm guessing this happened here too.
One voiced a character of a Band Girl while the other is a Pop Idol Girl... Must be something like that time when there was "war" between Guns & Roses and NKOTB...
T-T poor mio
Ah the irony.
Woman's envious feeling really scary thing!
Is confused... why would they ignore her for? ._.
Nope, that is not the case at all, worthless K-On hater.
That has to be it, I don't see any other reason really...
The sadistic nature of humans was definitely on display that day no question about it...
Lemme guess, the other seiyuu are pissed off with her because she's taking most of the lead roles this season right?
But seriously?
Eriko and Hikasa???
Even if they're co-workers on radio???
Something's really off here....
Imma see what they have to say at the next recording. Must be some misunderstanding....
Yeah, same here considering the occasion but that response by Nakamura was completely uncalled for so yeah, some manners should have been present...
I didn't expect a red carpet for Hikasa as an attendee, but I expect some manners!!!

You seem not to understand how seiyuus are viewed in Japan. They ARE equivalent to reasonably famous stars there.
I really enjoy seeing other countries rag on westerners because they really shows how ignorant and dumb that individual is.
FYI Please don't rag on a whole nation or hemisphere because despite what you may think people over here like your country and find the things you say and do interesting. Just because you seem to have some kind of superiority complex don't give your country that reputation. xenophob and racist get bomb ya know and that aint cute excuse me "kawaii"
..
..
..
Jealousy?
Poor Hyocchi ;_;
She's living the antithesis of Aya Hirano. I don't know what would cause her to be dismissed like this.
One new reason (besides Jupiter unit) for me to leave Idolmaster behind.
i never liked aimasu in the beginning, always thought it was one of those firm harems -_-
i sort of took interest when they added three guys, when i realized that the fandom seemed to be of desperate virgin men (i personally know one, no idea if he's the norm, but he creeps me out) who are pricks, and now if even the seiyuu of aimasu act like this then screw it, good bye.
@anon9:07
At least a front would suffice for your own colleague and radio partner....
@Yoshii-kun
Japanese "manners" are fake and overwrought.
Seiyuu business is a battlefield when egos collide.
I would slap her in the face, really. :/
And that's not because I'm a fan of Hikasa, that was just retard. This is when you see what kind of things "your idols" can do/say. Most fans wouldn't even care, but whatever.
BTW, Artefact, since you are now publishing news from other seyuu besides Aya, get us some Kugyuu and Ayana :3
And... Does she believe she's world famous because she voiced a character in an anime?
Half the people that watch anime don't care about the people behind the voice, even less care about the voice in the game. And she did only the anime, and attended a game event.
Maybe people finally realised K-on is a load of crap?
I think he was talking about westerners. Hikasa who?
@21:41 people like you who make uneducated comments like that really show just how dumb and ignorant westerners are.
This is the women's way of fighting. Truly fearsome.
And they were just having fun the other day.
I thought they were on great terms???
Backstabber! D:

@anon 20:57
troll harder(?)
& a very very sad thing indeed...
we women like to bitch, but we like to sit high and plot revenge, not just snap out at people like that. it's just asking for trouble... as seen here.
Maybe we should Snubb you first and then get praised by it when protecting criticism of lack of maners and narcisistic behaviour.
Why was the first anonymous voted down? Are people here really dumb enough to think there's something fearsome about bitching like a spoiled child? Well, I guess otaku nerds are easily intimidated.
Bitching like a spoiled arrogant child is fearsome?
Is not ironic, cuz is not easy to recognize famous people when they're acting and dressing like a normal person, for example, if Paris Hilton just went somewhere without any make up to attend in a small show, noone would recognize her. But these people like to ride a sport car with body-guards, plus, they like to brag to everyone "I'm going there!", so the fans can go there worship them. This is like the Aya Hirano incident in Malasya, they tried to grab her and "bite her meat", but noone found her, lol.
Great point about Aya. Despite all the hate and all, she is surprisingly visible as a celebrity all across Asia. Same with Rie Kugiyama who seems to get mobbed with thousands of fans from everywhere from Taiwan to South Korea.
Malaysians don't care about Aya Hirano.
I do.
I hope she stops twitting tho....
true, it's killing her slowly
Awww...
She needs a hug..
Something I wish I could give her right now too...
You are under arrested!
That's it...
where's those Seiyuu stalker otaku when you need them!
the bastards.....
well I think she's cute IMO
i have a friend who's really into aimasu... imma snub him tomorrow if it helps!
Man, these events for otakus for specific groups and anime/manga/game are pretty scary in how much of a niche they hold. You would think they would at least acknowledge eachother and respect them for being in the same entertainment industry.
Is this some sub-culture thing I don't know about, or are the Japanese being ridiculous sticklers for rules? You pull this in America and you're likely going to get warm applause and an introduction or something..
i suspect it's more of a new-girl-upstaged-popular-girl thing. quite common in places like america really.
probably, most innocent fans get crap handed to them when they're labeled otakus... because the annoying diehards are the ones setting the example. why can't we all just get along? -_-
Pretty sure it was small thing and fans are just blowing it out of proportion >.>
You mean a few creepy otaku that build shrines to characters ammount to .000000005% of the fans?!?!
Impossible, she "must" be treated like jesus every where she walks!
you think! And she's much better than Aya Hirano!!!!!! >=0 I wanna kill those that don't support her!!!!!!! KILL'EM!!!!!
They're ALL Jealous! Why? cause "K-On!" is still fuckin' HUGE!. The Live concerts were HUGE! There's gonna be a movie!..which will be HUGE!
I don't know shit about Idolmaster - except it probably has Loli's & Aya Hirano in it. Of Course Yoko got snubbed!- she's a grown women.
***Thank You Artefact for 'OTHER' Seiyuu news! - I love Seiyuus***
Considering the huge IMas fanbase and K-ON fanbase I would've thought they had some form of overlap at least. Looks like these Otaku are just shallow pretend fans that only google the seiyuu the night before the event to recognize them on stage...
