Infinite Stratos returns in its 2nd episode with another regulation bathing scene – completely steamed obscured by steam of course.
Opinions of the anime seemed to have softened somewhat since its first episode – in particular the quality of its battle scenes is being praised, although it still seems likely to retain its “least original” label.
its not too bad. first episode is just filled with clichés, but still it ha ssome good parts, not tooo ba dcharacters and interesting mechas, the animation qualoty is awesome and it has a promising eyepatch girl^^
You're being too hard on this. I just recently got into Anime, and I have to say; this is quite enjoyable. It's so very different from the American, French and Belgium cartoons I'm used to seeing!
agreed after a few years and seeing most of what's out there you sadly begin to notice there ain't any more originally out there and that can be said especially for this season of new anime, pretty much everything is just recycled stuff mashed together, well thats from mostly the first ep's only but you know where it will probably go. But yeah have fun enjoying it as being new until you can. Cause honestly I'm just watching most of the show's this season to do something lol.
well I for 1 (who has been watching anime for 12 years + (25 if you count robotech..and voltron) and I still don't get tired of it.. I mean yeah there are some meh series, even meh seasons.. but been enjoying it latly! I like IS, and will continue watching!
I still think its pretty original. Harem anime without a useless piece of shit that can only knit or something like that. They need to make more harem anime's like Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari. The mc definitly deserves his harem on that one since he can pretty much do anything and isn't just some useless waste of space. Well I guess they like that kind of useless protagonist since its someone they can relate to.
Definitely a pimp. His harem size is increasing by at least 1 per episode, and based on the preview for ep 3, its going to go up by 1 more there as well.
Yea, lotsa male protagonists in these days anime are in the go home club or lazy with no redeeming qualities. It's like there's a guideline or template that writers have to follow for all the male leads O_o.
lol, what u said reminded me of that oreimo episode where kuroneko told off the guy in charge of kirino's anime adaptation.
Back to this anime, though: personally I don't hate it, even if it is very similar to way too many animes out there. It feels a bit heavy/slow at times, so far; but imo, it's still worth watching just to kill some time.
remmeber that all male leads sit in the same corner of the class at the window.. WAIT! THIS ANIMES HERO SITS IN THE FIRST ROW IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CLASS! IT UNUSUAL AFTER ALL xDD
I'm not too concerned with how unoriginal it is. This anime is good shit. Good characters and awesome battles. It's one of the few series i'm watching this season.
Japanese plots are inherently different from Western plots. For I don't know how long Western plots have been characterized by the five-stage development formula (intro, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution), which makes story development a good bit easier, and leads to the "all loose ends tied" that so many Westerners come to expect (and why I'm guessing anime and manga remain somewhat niche). Of course, Eastern stories don't always follow this formula (I've noticed that a lot of one-season fighting anime do, though). So, the definition of "plot" may be considered to be different in Japan.

Just some quotes I dug up. (The first one I got from TV Tropes, though they attribute it to Mark Twain.)
thus steam is more ero than the real stuff ?
is steam to become the new mosaic, the one that some people are that much used to they can't fap it they show uncensored image ?
The anime *is* good. Not great because lacks originality (but who really cares about that, and also, similarities are bounded to happen, they are called steriotypes). Not bad because the characters and the fighting sequences!
By the way, about the fighting sequences and the IS system:
~Pop-Ups: no matter how many years pass, they'll be there!~
Also, the escuse for the IS not covering the important parts -- chest and head -- because it has a field (that can be destroyyed) is just weak and lame.
In the end, I'd like to say one thing: Fkcuing censorship of hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Well, a part of the amount of steam, I liked the part with the action.
Hope for more.
I like this series XD
I'd agree. Action is cool, and harems don't disappoint, I'll have my pick of girls.
And I'm always still amused by the awesome titles for these articles. They're clever.
A lot of good comments about it.
Is it recommendable? Or is it just another "good" anime? For I'm looking for another series to watch right now.
It has Hikasa Yoko.
Thus, I watch.

eyepatch girl is Marina Inoue >.<
thank you^^
At least the dude isn't a worthless wimp
More like he is a pimp in a worthless anime.
I'm OK with that.

Wait a few months dude.

Well if We compare it to the Golden Years I guess we can say that the present is generally vastly weaker
Study Study Study !!! ^^

this cannot be worse than Da Capo...
Well that alone is a selling point for me.
Definitely a pimp. His harem size is increasing by at least 1 per episode, and based on the preview for ep 3, its going to go up by 1 more there as well.
Pink blouse with a yellow jacket and bright green hair... that's gotta be the worst colour combination ever. Was her designer colour-blind?
She's a bit of a ditz. So it kinda fits with her personality.
I liked the "the go-home club" "i got full attendance on it" joke. But it seems repeated from index/railgun or somewhere else.
Copy_paste season.

thats way too much steam
Why does the girl's IS reminds me of freedom from GSD?
It was like seeing Strike Freedom vs. Destiny all over again. Only this time Destiny wins (sort of).
Wow that fighting equipment looks mighty unsafe...
Too much technology to care about that...
Aw yeah, the fang girl next week. She's the main reason I decided to pick up this show.
the main reaosn i did ws the eyepatch girl...
Waiting next week for that Chinese girl :D

Too much mist please can it tune down. Freezing doesn't have a Problem why IS is Censored???
A) Different TV stations.
B) That's like comparing a PG13 movie to a rated R movie. They're in different categories for a reason.
I thought the battle scenes in both eps were badass xD piloting a IS seems really hard with all that crap popin up
BLU RAYS WHEN!? T-T
Leon, do you normally watch anime with closed captions on? I think that it kind of detracts from the screen captures.
did they change the definition of "plot" in japan?
Japanese plots are inherently different from Western plots. Lack of originality isn't necessarily bad.

Well its not bad like the end oh wtf happened just like oh well you got a defective machine its offensive based just like oh its a guy machine ^^
the shadowing on the last image is too much or that was the result of too much steam... it look like she is wearing something
thus steam is more ero than the real stuff ?
