IdolMaster Anime Announced

Creepy IdolMaster fans have been rejoicing with the news that the game is finally to get a proper anime adaptation.
The announcement, which reveals little more than the fact the project is underway:
Analysis of the anime’s new homepage reveals “Aniplex” is mentioned as the copyright holder, giving some clue as to who is producing it.
IdolMaster fans have been pondering the apparent decision to completely ignore the existence of the previous anime adaptation (Sunrise’s “Xenoglossia”) – the fact it only used the game’s characters and not the setting or story of the original probably consigns it to oblivion.

Its is the best news of my otaku life. The only thing that would make me happier is a season 3 Spice and Wolf.

I love vocaloid and everything but I'd rather have real voices sometimes
I wouldn't mind Vocaloid, if they used the actual va for the anime because so far no one seems to take their time when making the Vocaloid talk, so I usually just become horrible and choppy speed talk.

Am I the only guy who actually liked the mecha anima adaptation? I give them credit for trying something original and with flying colors.
I liked the mecha show.
It was fairly fresh, would be hard to watch this new show without expecting yukino to do a 180 on the idols and turn bad.
Also beat up haruka.
You're not the only one, and I'm really disappointed that they're not doing anything else with that series.
I know a continuation in the same vein would be kinda difficult (for spoilerish reasons you know about if you've finished the series), but it just seems like a shame to discard the personalities and relations built up in Xenoglossia and start over.
They could do something like, show what happened with all the characters afterwards (what especially interests me is what happens between Yukiho and Haruka, you know why), maybe make it into an actual singing anime?
Hmm, maybe there's a chance they're actually going to do that? .....yeah I'll keep dreaming. :/
Actually the last DVD special explores that a little bit, but it doesn't give much. It's disappointingly brief.
Also Xenoglossia was pretty awesome.
Indeed it was.
XENOGLOSSIA was original, indeed; but that originality came at a price.
They could have changed the names and designs of all the characters to anything non-iM@S related and the content would still have worked mostly the same.
As a fan of the original games, I was disappointed. That's not to say that it was bad or that I didn't enjoyed it at all; but it did not fulfilled my expectations.
I want this new adaptation to be faithful to the games.
Or at least, to be about (true) idols.
Because that's what I expect of "IdolMaster".
Maybe, but it still felt like the anime was created for those characters and it might have been quite different otherwise (*imagines another Mai-HiME ending and shrugs*).
Also I for one was very happy to see that Xenoglossia had nothing to do with the games and was one of the best anime ever about a girl and her humongous mecha.
I also liked the mecha version, but the only downside to that was Sunrise not using the original va cast. I have no problem with the cast they choose.

Very odd. I have fun playing it.
I like the mecha version of it. Everything is better with giant robot. Because until I watched that I didn't care one bit about idolmaster
They did an OVA that stuck to the original game it was alright but no where as good as the mecha one was.
Here's to hoping it uses all the male characters from Idolmaster 2.

the idolmaster ova wasnt bad. here's hoping the tv version be better with singing like they do in k-on
