New anime Yumekui Merry (“Dream Eater Merry”) has aired to some approval, notably with respect to Merry Nightmare and her ever bared navel:

So far there is unanimous agreement on but one point – Merry is very cute indeed.

Synopsis: Generic Shounen anime 1st episode. Protagonist (male) awakens from recurring dream, demonstrates some sort of dream related power on school friends. Enters dream-reality and is saved by female 2nd, Merry from masked protagonist. Add some details. Watch the first episode of Bleach, swap out soul powers for dream powers, and school friends for family, and you have the idea.

The character art is OK, the background art is pretty good, and the whole thing is rather surreal.

Ecchi seems like it would be poorly executed but to be fair, I haven't even seen this episode of the series yet so I will just shut up here...

Fantasy & Supernatural are both genres I knew this series would be classified as(the Manga anyway)...

Seinen is a complete shock to me & might be a result of what that entity known as iShithara did, the fucker...
