Otaku buyers share the contents of their “fukubukuro” purchases of 2011, both lucky and unlucky.
Fukubukuro, “lucky bags,” are a traditional Japanese New Year retail custom consisting of a sealed bag or box sold at a set price with unknown contents.
The value of the goods in the bag may be substantially more or less than the price of the bag, although on average reputable retailers tend to be quite generous.
However, one of the primary functions of the bags is disposing of unsold stock, which can lead to some distinctly undesirable contents even when the price of the goods exceeds the cost of the bag.
All kinds of goods can be found in them, games and figures being no exception…
Figures and goods:
¥8000 “Nendoroido-fukuro” & ¥5000 “Nendoroido-fukuro+”:
Games and similar:
Sharper retailers have in the past created considerable outrage amongst buyers by packing all their bags with junk of the most useless kind, and even amongst kinder retailers there are supposed to be both “hits” and “misses” – as ever, caveat emptor.
The worst of the worst (thankfully most probably a Photoshop creation as no shop so cruel could hope to remain in business for long):
i envy those who got 5000 yen and especially the 10000 yen in the figurine section…
should i spend my new years in Japan?
(teary eyes…)
where do you buy those ¥2011 fukubukuro?
Oh wow. I like. I would totally go for one of those figure sets. Even if you get doubles or someone you don’t like, there’s always a use for figures isn’t there?
What’s up with Sankaku and FF14? I know it’s not perfect, and they sure as hell have fucked up, but you don’t report any of the changes or improvements they have been making. What the hell guys?
I think the reason as to why no one says anything about the changes being made to the game is because pretty much no one here has played the game in its current state because they are too stubborn to do so and just take part in the bandwagon that is “I hate FFXIV”. They can’t say anything about the changes about the game because they simply don’t know about it. All people here seem to know is stuff fed to them by Artefact, which is all the negative stuff.
Because of this no one will even bother to check up to see if the game is become more playable since they already have the idea that the game is not worth their time and the only time they’ll say something about it is when they joke about the game because it got slammed in another article on this site.
Why this guy seems to intent to continuously put up articles which say SE is a failure and the game is s♥♥t, I have no idea. We get the idea already, you don’t like the game and many many people also don’t like this game, why is it so necessary to constantly state this as if you’re attempting to brainwash everyone? Forgive me if this seems ridiculous but it’s as if Artefact has some personal grudge against Square Enix. From the amount of articles posted of this particular nature, it’s not so difficult to draw such a conclusion really. I mean, it’s just one game and to constantly rat on about it like Artefact has done is just silly.
I know I’ll get downvoted or even banned for saying such things here but I just thought I’d let you know, Anonymous, as to why this is happening.
Got to save a lot of money then !!
