    she's kind of fallen downhill as a protagonist. liked her in the first game but putting her in a bunch of fanservice outfits it just kind of sad.

    Just take a look on the first ones artwork.

    It has Aya with nothing covering her boobs. This is how the first one was promoted.

    I know. I liked PE1 Aya the most because she wasn't overly sexualized like the majority of female game characters are :/

    I thought Parasite Eve was popular enough that Squenix didn't have to resort to fanservice to get people to play 3rd Birthday.

    I don't know who the hell thought that Toriyama is a good writer. He tends to push in every Japanese cliche there is in his stories.

    I really liked Aya back in PE1. For most of the gametime, she walked around only in her jeans, white t-shirt and black leather jacket. That's it. Just as I expected from what a civvie-dressed cop should wear; practical, convenient and not revealing.

    Then again, PE1's story was a direct reference to the novel. Everything went to hell when PE2 came over. The game itself was still OK, so I didn't have much to complain but...

    My only consolation in 3rd Birthday is that the game isn't titled Parasite Eve 3. Then again, they should've just made a new character altogether.

    I'll admit that point. I know some of the promotional art was pretty suggestive, though I never saw any of it until like, 5 years later.

    Supposedly their excuse is it's sort of a spin off instead of an actual sequel though. At least that's what I've read or heard a few times. To see what potential the series had. I don't know for sure myself though.

    Either way, they can't ruin her for me. Still my favorite and I can always just ignore what they do to screw things up and play the original, and the second if I feel like it. The costumes do admittedly somewhat bother me, but again, nobody is forced to use them. Armor is basically useless anyway.

    actually i read that the license of PE got expired and SE never renewed it. hence it's only The 3rd Birthday.

    i want a sequel of the game for the PS3(but with more horror elements) if this was a action game, a horror game would be nice :)

    still looking forward to it :)

    Even in the first game, there was fanservice in the official art, her outfits were either that little black dress or that white tee and partially unbuttoned jeans. Also don't get me started on that image of Melissa/Eve nibbling on Aya's ear...

    Meh, be honest, most are playing it as I'm typing this since it works with all the ISO loaders pretty flawlessly.

    It's fun, but it's a lot more like Parasite Eve 2, rather then the original Parasite Eve. Always liked the mechanics of the first much more, but guess others like the "shoot em up" of 2 more.

    Costumes are almost never seen "normally" for very long though, a few hits and it's so tattered/bloody it's absurd, heh.

    2ch people have probably never explored the outside world and probably think skinny underweight young teenagers are probably the accepted norms which is sick. 38 is reasonably fine. 20 years from 38 would i call someone an old lady(not a hag). I know several actresses that age that still look pretty damn young. 27 is the average for marriage and 38 is only 11 years from it which isn't that much. thank god she's 38 because I'm sick of looking at young girls,Especially in hentai,anime and manga.

    I'm a bit disappointed to see that game go in the PSP.. I had hope in the past that there would be a sequel of my favorite PS1 game on the PS2, but no luck, so I hope on the PS3.. but why PSP!?

    When I first read the title, I was excited at the thought that it was another one of Aya Hirano's antics ala AYA STYLE.

    Erm, she still has an age. The Mitochondria just keep her body young as it's more advantageous to both her at them. Aya might physically be 22, but she's still 38. I don't recall any point where it was hinted or presumed she would possibly live forever.

    Also the beginning of the game doesn't start with a shower scene... you pretty much only have 2 chances to take a shower... (or I did anyways....) get to second chapter and you can take a shower and then there's a second opportunity later in the game when you're living in a dump...

    oh yeah... the shower scene images are backwards btw.
