Not to mention that it's the next in line for the Anime no Chikara project. All things under that name have had excellent production values and have been intensely interesting (at least to me). The idea that SHAFT is gonna add another title to the Anime no Chikara line has got me shitting bricks! It's definetely the one I'm looking foreward to the most.
It's not anime no chikara project, though... It is airing on MBS.

However, I'm still very much looking foreward to it. A SHAFT series where they don't have to worry about adapting something fathfully? I'm tottaly there.
I'm always down for something original instead of taking a novel, manga, etc and turning into an anime.
Don't get me wrong, those work well too, but on some level you're gonna have the haters complaining that the show is too similar to the original work, (Dissappearance comes to mind especially when you read a few reviews out there complaining all they did was cut and paste the novel's text word-for-word for dialogue. Obviously no complaints on the animation quality tho XD)
Or you get shows that are "adaptations" of the original work and then original stories, intros, endings, etc. are thrown in, mixed in, whatever and then you get the fans of the original source cry FOUL as loud as they can. (Vampire bund being an example here for me personally, having never read the manga prior I thought to myself "ah, what a damn nice intro, im liking this story so far." Then upon reading the manga I went "aww... they didn't animate this :(" ) End result, I read the manga as far as i could and watched the entire animation series and I ended up liking both, but i can see why the 'manga first' fans were a bit peeved.
So this way, an original work is good although risky since studios need to hope a size-able fanbase arises and FAST. Hence the name dropping in the staff being almost a damn near REQUIREMENT for people to take notice to this type of show.
Root for the underdog for those of you complaining "there's nothing original coming out" Here is your opportunity.

FREEZING = DO WANT (Finally an Im dal young anime, he deserves all his stories turned into animes seriously, pro storywriter and artist) Though I can't help but wish that it was Unbalance x Unbalance being animated instead of Freezing, even though both are ace.

read volume 2 of it, you can skip volume 1, because that one takes i believe till damn near the end of the volume to hit you with the pay off, but its probably the best joke i ever read in manga.

Level E is by the same author that did HunterxHunter and YuYu Yakusho so it should be best to expect from this season.

This season will be pretty fucking terrible, Index will probably end up being the "best of the season" since it's running over with its episode count.

I agree with you 100%, it's all crap recently; I wish they came out with better anime. I'm only gonna check out 2 in that list Level E (because it looks different and that's a good thing) and Onii-chan no koto...(I read a bit of the manga, so I feel that I must at least check out the first episode). Apart from that all the others look like the same re-hashed highly predictable ecchi/harem/moe shit that has recently plagued anime.

I give everything new whether I'm interested in it or not at least up to 4-5 episodes.
Last season (or two, cant remember) I gave Shiki about 6-7 episodes before finally dropping it. Just didn't like it personally beyond the first few episodes.
Ika Musume was the biggest surprise to me, I thoroughly enjoy the hell out of that show, but that doesn't make it my fave of the season. Will be sad once it ends because it most likely isn't getting a second season.
Other than that I pretty much stuck with everything else:
To-love-Ru (being another surprise, dropped the first season after 4-5 episodes but i havn't missed a single episode of the second season XD)

Nurarihyon
Otome Yokai Zakuro (another surprisingly good show)
Hyakka Rouran Samurai Girls (Sadly dropped after episode 9, but I might go back to it if I can)

Most of the shows you 'liked' are the crap that has infested anime recently, you know what? I'll just be like the silenced minority that enjoys rare quality anime until the majority wakes up. Typical of society, IMO.
