Ore no Imouto Good End “Best Ending Ever”

Ore no Imouto’s “Good End” quasi-finale has aired to the joy of fans, some of whom enthusiastically set about acclaiming it as the “best ending ever.”
Anyone following Ore no Imouto will be aware of the somewhat confusing continuity announced for the TV adaptation by now, but lest any have forgotten, a quick review here would be very handy.
The name of the alternate continuity’s ending won’t be known for some time, but this is apparently the “Good End.”
Mini-doses of Kirino’s cute friends Ayase and Kanako are included as the episode does its best to include at least a snippet of all the pertinent cast.
Actually a reasonable price for a First-Time Limited Edition Release of the new eroge Kirino’s pining for, “Onii-chan no Pantsu Nanka Zettai Nusundenaindakarane!!” (I Definitely Didn’t Steal Onii-chan’s Underwear!!), as often such games would easily be over ¥8,000.
Kirino’s ball-shaped head here is, in an odd way, moe just by itself, even more so as it gives her a good resemblance to her seiyuu Ayana Taketasu’s best known role as K-ON!!’s moesome guitarist Azusa.
Luckily, Kirino wears these short pants for much of the episode.
An impressive looking ita-bike, along with some posters for a game with a most promising name: “3D Custom Imouto.”
Kyosuke did not come to buy this “homoge”…
These fujoshi however did, including the Manami-lookalike.
Note the sign – this late-night sale is taking place in front of Gamer’s Akiba outlet.
Ruri and her sewing machine make a tiny cameo.
The English caption in the top right is a fun one: “I am very interested in elder brother’s undergarment.”
Little Kirino enjoys her eroge, which perhaps was a Key game in some very heavy camouflage.
Seeing Kirino wriggle around in this pose for a few seconds is sure to be well received.

Poor Kyosuke.
The actual ending is (conveniently!) pretty close to what was speculated at before, being fairly non-committal.
Were this actually an eroge, this would be the sort of ending received after generally being nice to all of the girls, but never seriously following just one or two’s path in particular – thus earning an ending that doesn’t actually leave the protagonist with anyone.

The nice ED song is (naturally enough) a Kirino song, entitled Tadaima.
Kuroneko’s lovely little dance, which looks like her randomly trying outs bits of Ranka’s cute Nyan Nyan dance along with Popotan’s UmaUma.
Unfortunately, the earliest broadcast of Ore no Imouto didn’t appear to include a frame of the TV run’s final piece of beautiful ED art, but it does come from VOFAN (person site here).

Best ending ever? Not so much...
I don't get how this is a good ending.This is the "no actual end" ending.The protagonist,being the undeciding wuss that he is,gets committed to noone.The best ending would be the "harem ending",where every girl admits her love for him so he scores 'em all.
Hope the character-specific endings are better.
Did you even understood the point of this anime? The start of the anime has the main character in a bad relationship with his sister but ends up improving his relationship to the point where even his sister is willing to sacrifice her own pursuits. Therefore this is a good ending.
There was never any indication, possibility or point of him "scoring" a girl.

Not even his child hood 'friend' eh? And the point was his little sister likes him but isn't brave enough to say it and he's too clueless to say how much he likes her. Thsu the anger when he brings hom his child hood friend or stays the night there and even the fact she gets mad when he talks to other girls.

Unless the fansub was wrong you might get your wish. Kuroneko said to Kirino over the phone (after Kirino told her not to call Kyosuke Onii-san) "I will be calling him something else soon". That may mean that the alternate could be Kyosuke x Kuroneko.
The alternate end is likely the True End, where it follows the light novel, and Kirino really does go to America.
Ruri ends up going to Kyosukes high school, and they start "dating" by volume 7, if memory serves me correctly.
Of course, choosing a girl several volumes before the end of the story typically is not a good thing for the shippers, since it's pretty much setting in stone that something will happen to break it apart.

This ending disappointed me though...

Otherwise, I won't call this ending 'good'. Rather, 'normal'. Most eroges have this kind of ending when you treat all the girls the same(being nice OR smug), as Quen pointed out.
Although it ended with Kyosuke not being with anyway it still ended pretty well. I wonder though their will be only 3 different endings but who will he end up with. I might buy the blu rays for it, hopefully everyone will forget the ban or at least ore no imo won't be considered to "interfere with the healthy development of youth" or "unjustifiably glorifies sex" so I'll still be able to buy it off amazon.
I concur. As a normal episode it was good and funny but as a ending it was very dissapointing. I hope alternative endings will do better.

They didn't hug each other at least once; still too much distance between them despite Kirino's 'personality change'...
