The first one looks almost exactly like an S1 AV cover, so I can see why the comment was made. Its just the style of the photo, not all AV cover photos are meant to be erotic and sexy. The pose, lighting, and especially text placement is spot on for an AV cover.

my fav for Aya has faded, slowly, but have you watched Animelo 2009 Nana x Aya performance? There, it was good performance by both of them.
It's not a good idea to compare their singing career. Aya's singing isn't so bad Nana is far more superior. She's a professional singer afterall.
And though Mizuki's been in voice acting business for so long, in between making recordings and live shows, she hardly resorted to making shock statements to pull attention. At least so far.
And I don't even like her voice.
Fact: you don't need to make silly statements like having many bf in a row, liking thin condom, having brain tumor, playing with drunken man, making lewd voice in a bar, is forced by agency to quit career, etc. to gain attention if you have real talent.
