    you mean saying stuff on the same shows she's been saying stuff on for months?

    some of you really need to learn the concept of selection bias.
    she hasn't been getting any more exposure than she was before.
    but if all you do is pick out things she says every other day on the same shows she's been on for months, and present that like its all the news in the Japanese entertainment world; yeah, it looks like she's suddenly got a huge boost in news.

    whether its working or not for her is pretty debatable.
    and that's not me being a "creepy otaku hater" (as the Aya Defense Force is ironically, considering their nature as a bunch of creepy otaku, quick to throw out), that's me being realistic about the state of her career based on probably reading more Japanese entertainment news than a lot of you here who probably get all your news from Sankaku.

    she's getting attention, but her newfound celebrity has mostly consisted of Paris Hilton-style celebrity.
    lot of attention, not much actual career substance behind it.
    so far Aya's been unable to leverage it into much (i think she's gotten 1 role out of the whole deal and its ironically enough an anime adaptation; continuing here trend of no matter what she does, in whatever medium, her only success comes when hooked to anime).

    and unlike Paris Hilton, Aya's not rich enough to ham-fist her own entertainment career by throwing money at it.

    that having been said, Paris Hilton still makes A LOT of money for doing little else than being stupid and going to nightclubs. so arguably its as viable of a career as any.

    the debate is simply what exactly was Aya expecting her career to be.
    she's quickly, if not already, becoming more professional entertainMENT instead of professional entertainER.

    I wasn't trying to troll. I honestly think she is gross looking. Being popular does not instantly make a person good looking. Perhaps I became biased via all the articles. Lots of people find beauty in ugly people if they like the personality. But I'm not sure if that is the case here for me. No, really, something is off with her looks. Is it her eyes? 006 looks okay. Bottom left of 007 had me wondering if she had somehow managed to catch down syndrome (as if that were possible). I suppose that is kawaii for some. Not for me. Does that make me jealous, maybe. Yes, having good taste can be a painful limitation on oneself. So, you're right, I actually am jealous. But not jealous of her ugly looks. I'm jealous that you like her looks. (;_;)
