Microsoft is resorting to seiyuu cleavage to promote Kinect, with Aya Hirano providing the glamour and several other seiyuu providing the cleavage.
Aya Hirano presents Asami Imai (IdolMaster’s Chihaya) and Yumi Hara (IdolMaster’s Takane):
A possible reason Hirano did not join the other seiyuu in bouncing around seems to present itself.
Microsoft seems not to realise that the majority of creepy seiyuu fans live in one-room apartments which can barely accommodate their vast collections of figures, let alone the vacant plateau required by Kinect.
Official sales figures for Japan are hard to come by, but estimates based on the numbers reported for bundled software so far suggest under 30,000 units sold, and not a single Kinect title made it into the Japanese top 50 for the last 2 weeks.
microsoft, when you need to ressort to lowest tactics to sell stuff, do it right :

Kincet is a fail in Japan and the whole of Asia that’s for sure. I’m from Singapore and i don’t buy Kinect because it’s so expensive!
$220 SGD (168 USD) for a Kinect? And $400+ for a Kinect bundle with the 360 included as well? I would rather get the bundle but i already have a 360 and don’t want to spend a additional $200+ more for one.
I would understand that those people that haven’t own a 360 would find the bundle super attractive, but for existing owners $220 SGD for a Kinect itself it’s just plain daylight robbery. I would wait for the price to drop to at least $150 and then i WOULD consider it.
And yes, most homes in Asia are small, mine is small as well, even if i do buy a Kinect in the future i don’t know how to setup in my room. @_@
in some way, that reminds me of the xbox1’s first “american size” pads
Oh and not to mention the living standard in Singapore is really high as well, games already costs ranging from $60 – $80 here (it’s getting cheaper as games in the past 2 years can go as high as $100+). There’s no standard pricing unlike in US where all games costs $59.99 (PC games costs $49.99).
Buying games are already making our wallets bleed, not to mention wanting us to buy a Kinect for $220 SGD? NO freaking way!
meh likes her ducky lips expression. I’ll take Aya you guys can have the cleavage wannabes.

Poor game related sales in JApan from MS isn’t surprising in the least. But as for the rest of the world…

As for the rest of the world, MS is doing fine Not necessarily stellar, but pretty well indeed. Then again, that’s not surprising either.
