Microsoft Resorts to Hirano & Seiyuu Cleavage to Sell Kinect

Microsoft is resorting to seiyuu cleavage to promote Kinect, with Aya Hirano providing the glamour and several other seiyuu providing the cleavage.
Aya Hirano presents Asami Imai (IdolMaster’s Chihaya) and Yumi Hara (IdolMaster’s Takane):
A possible reason Hirano did not join the other seiyuu in bouncing around seems to present itself.
Microsoft seems not to realise that the majority of creepy seiyuu fans live in one-room apartments which can barely accommodate their vast collections of figures, let alone the vacant plateau required by Kinect.
Official sales figures for Japan are hard to come by, but estimates based on the numbers reported for bundled software so far suggest under 30,000 units sold, and not a single Kinect title made it into the Japanese top 50 for the last 2 weeks.

Honestly this is funny,cause the reason the X-box doesnt sell in japan has nothing to do with being xenophobic or nationalistic,or even because they think it sucks.
its just a preference issue.They prefer to have smaller machinery cause the space most are allotted for such things.
Also imagine lugging an x-box 360 in your backpack to a friends house on a bike.
its not really the x-boxes fualt.it just isnt compatible with japanese cultures current state.
None of the systems are supioror.
they got their own feels,and you just need to buy what you know you want.
For instance.
Like rpgs? get a playstation.controlls+content and market is perfect for use who like Rpgs or jrpgs.(made clear by the shin megami tensei and final fantasy series)
Like shooters & fighters-get an Xbox.
the controls are superior for tis style of gaming,With he analog right where the d-pad is on most systems.Making it an easy sell for shooters.

I have played Kinect at a store before. It wasn't that bad to be honest. But I can't see myself getting out $150 + price of games for a few games and a console I'm gonna play 3 or 4 times at most and then get bored of.
And as for the people who want it to get exercise, buying a thread mil or stepper is much more efficient, because sooner or later, you're just going to get bored of Kinect. Most of the games that require you to move are boring. Not because they require you to move, but because most of them suck.

I'm in agreement that the Kinect is great device, honestly. But I have to consider it a great device as I considered the Virtualboy a great device. It's a step in the direction toward virtual reality, however its execution unfortunately hit most of the wrong notes. It's not even bad execution, but it's hit at a terrible time.
College kids are living with their parents because they can't find career work, people downgrading to studio apartments, etc. But really the Kinect strikes me as something that goes too far in the 'looking stupid' factor for most people I think. With Wii and Move you have the wands to deal with and you feel like you are being productive with a tool. Kinect has you doing generally awkward movements in situations where the movements don't feel right from what I have seen. I too haven't played it, but that's not the problem, it's that it projects a feeling of "I don't really WANT to play this..." It really is a great device, but it's merely a step toward the true goal of VR, and it lacks the depth it wants to have.
And I'm sick of people who hate microsoft on principle because they are just a large corporation. Being wealthy and successful does not immediately make something a fascist dictatorship, and we have a bunch of failure college students BECAUSE of mindsets like this. God forbid they actually have to work to achieve a level of success so they can change the world and corporations they hate from the inside and actually be effective. That would require too much work.

I love how no one HERE has even played with the kinect OR move (except for myself) and yet you pass judgement on stuff you know absolutely NOTHING about.
1) kinect is a great device (don't let these d****bags tell you any different, without even games for it you still get a device that you can use with the xbox 360 for other things such as quick menu scrolling, video chatting, etc.
2) Games on the kinect are for the most part good experiences. Not all games for it out are good, but that will change with time.

3) the responder above me is correct, in a land where SONY dominates, there really isn't even any news here. That's just like creating a news post on some tech site like Engadget or Gizmodo where they put up a news article that states something like "MACINTOSH NEEDS PAM ANDERSON TO SELL MACBOOK PRO's IN USA" Sure Mac doesnt sell as much as microsoft or PC's but they don't have to, cause their market is either elsewhere or to a specific demographic.
3) Sony's move is rather annoying, period. Before every game you must sync the device by holding it at your shoulder level, nut level then at your stomach.... This is very annoying VERY! also the fact that they use the move in games such as golfing or disc golfing or bowling, etc etc where you need the ability to twist your wrist in order to get good shots, hits, etc. the move just feels plan awkward, where as the kinect, it takes 1 set of "next" buttons and you are set for the life of the device. (mind you if you don't move it.)
the writers here need to actually have face time with the things they write about and not just draw on bias opinions THEY THEMSELVES have.... Otherwise this isn't news this is just them raging about a company they obviously can't stand or hate.

Sony hands out shipped numbers. 2.5 million Kinect sales are "thru the register" sales.
If only 30,000 have sold in Japan, that's a much worse mark on the state of Japan than Microsoft's marketing.
