Haruhi fans are in awe of the image quality on offer in the just released limited edition Blu-ray box set edition of the series.

The set consists of the entire 28 episode series on 5 discs, running to 650 minutes, and a further 430 minutes of extras on an additional 3 discs. English subtitles are included on the discs.
The set is available now, and seems to be proving popular in spite of its high price – it is Amazon’s 2nd best selling BD, beaten out only by the power of Nanoha.

I’d forgotten about preordering this, instead making one for the Shoushitsu BD, but I went ahead and got this yesterday.
My poor wallet is hurting this week!
That’s quite the upgrade. Does anyone feel that, in a way, they’ve made it look so clear that it looks a tad weird though? Man, I don’t eve know what I mean.
In any case I’m not quite ready to have my wallet raped.
Ya, I know. The ones we watch are kinda washed up and we think they intentionally use colours that look neutral to the eyes. But that usually isn’t the case with most productions. Where they usually stick to colours that appeals the most- constrasts. And sharp pictures.
Personally, I prefer stuffs in medium definition.. More harmonic colours & pictures not looking so sharp they don’t look cheap.
Ironically, this is not so different than poorer people not being able to appreciate expensive stuffs. Lol I don’t feel like I’m losing on anything.
Damn, I just spent most of my pay today and than I see this. God damn.
