Police have recovered the stolen K-ON! guitars after they were dumped in a ditch like so much worthless moeblob trash, the thieves only having shown any interest in the contents of the stolen safe.
Unknown thieves stole guitars, figures and a safe filled with $3,000 in cash from the school used as a backdrop for top moeblob anime K-ON!
Two days later police found the guitars, figures and the now very empty safe tossed in a nearby rice paddy ditch, along with a discarded crowbar. Police noted a number of footprints in the field.
The flagrant disposal of the items suggests the thieves were not great K-ON! fans, likely realising there was no way they could safely sell such goods.
The condition of the items is not stated, but after spending some time at the bottom of a muddy ditch it is likely they are ruined.

They would obviously attract too much suspicion and/or attention if there were to sell the guitars.
I usually love the 'unique' reporting style of Sankaku, but such assumptions are slightly too scathing for my tastes...
That's because troll posts like these gather more hits. He is doing it all the time. People probably don't even recognize them as such due to the frequency.
That and because the poster is butthurt that a show which isn't about pseudo-intellectual or "mature" contents is one of the most popular around for the last 2 years now.
Agreed.
I can't even remember the last time I took a post in this site seriously.
But in any case that formula sometimes incites lulzworthy comments.
moeblob or not,one who mistreat a guitar should get his skull crushed by one!
Ho come on man you are truly serious here?
Well you are maybe right after all, we are too many heathly human being on this rock...
"Even Criminals Hate Moe"
You mean:
"Only Criminals Hate Moe"
No matter how you cry, Moe will always be the only thing that moves us otaku.
Now come here and let me lick your tears, little haters. ^_^
LOL limitedbrainfag otaku don't love only moe learn your history TROLL...
Yea right.., obsessed otaku who love and support the industry by buying the merchandise vs So-called Type-A teen complex Anime "fans" who did nothing but watching free anime only to bitch 24/7.
*lick lick lick*
....what? loli isn't taking them!they'll go to waste!
Those poor guitars!
Stupid thieves are stupid.
Why bother stealing bulky items if they were just going to dump them?
For 2 very good reasons.
1. out of spite to piss off the k-on retards
2. to make people like me laugh
^_^
Troll robberies?
Now that's something new...
Next up: troll killings.
"What's up son"

@DArkrockslizer -
Police have recently announced that a man who was detained for public intoxication is now the main suspect in the investigation of the brutal slaying of a 32 year old male just last night.
The suspect, who's name has not yet been released, was arrested earlier this morning after police responded to a complaint of a man yelling loudly in the street. When police arrived, they discovered a man yelling about the apparent size of otakus' genitalia and their sexual preference. He was also throwing empty bottles at houses and showing his rear-end at those who complained. When police attempted to apprehend the suspect, he mooned then and yelled "U MAD?" before running. After giving a small chase, the suspect was caught and brought into the station, where he claimed to be the one who slayed the 32 year old man, last night. It has been reported that when questioned, he only responded with "I did it for the lolz"
This is channel 9 news, signing off
It was only a matter of time.
Argeed, I laughed...
I wonder if the school still thinks it was an inside job because the thugs knew where the safe was.
Why so serious with the down votes?
Not every one like these moe blob creatures you know.
For 2 very good reasons !
1. out of spite to piss off the k-on retards
2. to make people like me laugh
^_^
Glad to see I'm not the only one laughing :D
Nooooooo Gitah!
death penalty!!!!
Talk about pouring salt to an open wound...
I don't know if they were trolling or both, but I hope they get into an accident and lose a limb or two from this sacrilege...
@RaspberryKisses
I hope those thieves have a guest appearance in the upcoming "Silent Hill 8" videogame...
Ironic that it's prison-themed and starts out with the prison bus falling through a ditch, hahaha...
Once Ui finds out that her sister's guitar got damaged beyond repair, that will probably be a very likely outcome for these thugs.
seconded. Those bastard don't know the value of MOE goods.
That's just a damn crime, leaving those items in a ditch of all places. Criminals today have no respect for the things they steal...
That's why they steal. That's kind of the point. Which you seem to have missed.
yes would i lie?
Either way I saw this happening. I was quite curious how the hell they're gonna handle the stolen goods. They can't probably sell the thing any easier despite the merchandises being hot in the market.
So pretty much they took only what was virtually untraceable which was the money. Still they went all the way to steal those stuff and bail at the last moment.
"Fascinating..."
*said with sarcasm
Seeing as this article is related to crime, I was expecting you to throw a lame line while removing and wearing the glasses.
Pete Townshend: "YAAAAAAAAAAY~!"
Poor moefachist, don't be suprised if someone want to ban your stuff o.O
Haha I knew it, real otakus don't have guts to do anything (like that) irl. :D
Keep your "Jew" comments out of this Philistine.
God, all these K-ON!-hating dumbasses can just go straight to hell! As for those goddamn criminals, they deserve to have their spines rip or be sawn in half with a revolving, razor-sharp hat! They shall pay with their lives!
what fucking retards.
the guitar that yui uses Gibson Les Paul Cherry Sunburst is worth 2500$ minimum, and depending on where or when you buy it up to 3500$
are you telling me these retards couldn't hold onto a guitar for more than 3 months, sell it and pose as an otaku who want thinking when he bought it, and needed to recupe some money.
like k-on or not, everyone should be pissed at these retards for one reason or another.
Actually I'd think these thieves, however assholic they be, are smart for doing this. They probably saw the news about the theft, and realized they had hot goods that could be identified and traced back to them without any real trouble at all wherever they tried to pawn them off or even keep them. On a long enough timeline, someone would match the numbers and models. So of course it's a bitch move to bitch a guitar like that, but they're relatively smart to not try anything more retarded with them like... sell them and get caught.
No.
I was merely commenting on how haters will really laugh at it(which i think is pretty valid if you hate it that you want to stamp on all K-ON! merchandise) and otakus will really get pissed over it(which i think is plenty valid too if you love it, to the point where you wanna pick up a gun and shoot these guys on their balls).
While i can understand if people may think that its sarcastic, but why people treat like you can treat it as a biased comment is beyond me.
But really, i can see this shit happening on 2ch right now. Either starting a thread over there on this and the flame wars that ensue.
@Rethardus
i think he meant; even if Otaku say that they would do something like this on the net, they would never have the guts to actually do it in RL. So he knew that the robbers could not have been Otaku
@Darkrockslizer
What do you mean "irl"? Is there any other way to steal those items?
really... exactly how on earth can you sell stolen K-ON! guitars and figures? Trying to sell them on the net would bring the police down on you (or should, if they are doing their jobs) They are pretty much a shining beacon that says "IT WAS MEE!"
it is not like there is some sort of large otaku black market...... well, that i know of
@alidan
"the guitar that yui uses Gibson Les Paul Cherry Sunburst is worth 2500$ minimum, and depending on where or when you buy it up to 3500$

It's called serial numbers, dawg. You don't think they've got them stored somewhere? I own 12 guitars and I have digital and paper copies of all 12 serials, and any half-intelligent instrument owner would have their serials documented as well, so I'm sure the schools reported the serials to the cops as soon as the robbery was reported. Any pawnshop or music store has to document the serial when they buy from a customer and check it against the stolen-goods database; it'll be an instant match. Fucking busted. Even if a private buyer were to buy them, they'd know about the theft and would surely check the serials themselves to make sure they weren't being sold hot goods. Smarter to dump the stuff than get caught red-handed, although there will surely be fingerprints and DNA evidence on the instruments.
Also as someone who used to sell guitars for a living, a new cherry sunburst Les Paul Standard might be worth $2500 at a store, but the value of guitars, much like cars, depreciates like a motherfucker once sold, even without damage. You might be able to get $1800 tops for a mint LPS on the secondhand market. More likely $1200-1500.

i have to disagree. the Gibson Les Paul Cherry Sunburst should be an easy sell to fellow otaku, and otaku i'm assuming don't really know much about the gibson registering system, and even than, gibson uses a weird serial system thats hard for people who like guitars to figure out.
but even than you are assuming that the school made note of the serials, in 3 to 4 months, this would have been a who the hell cares kind of thing, and so long as you got rid of any identifying marks or things on the guitar, other items, in 3-4 months, NO ONE would have noticed, especially if you sold them off 1 at a time about a week apart from each other.
i still think these criminals are fucking retarded for not hanging onto the guitars at least, they aren't that big and are not that hard to store.

that realy depends on their ware and tear, looking online i see some of those models going for 3000+ but i'm assuming huge mark ups.
im also going to go out on a limb and say that those guitars are harder to find in japan, with them being imports and the otaku who bought them up.
now yea there are serials on almost every thing you own, from computers, to remotes, handhelds, and so on so forth, however do you document everything that has them? im going to say most people dont.
now that said, its a school, in japan. ill assume that the music teacher there is probably older. now this is taken from my experience, but out music teacher when i was in school, i think 10 or so years ago, didn't consider electric guitars musical instruments, hell anything that wasn't a classical instruments, and needed anything electric she wouldn't consider it music. i'm going to assume that the school didn't get the serials on them, because they were gifts, if i read that right, not something they bought.
now lets go with who you sell it to. selling hot goods isn't all to hard. if they were smart they would have wore gloves, so no finger prints at all. and never directly handled any of the goods, and before they sell them all off give them a final wipe.
japan is small as hell, now lets assume that each figure could go for 50-100$+ depending on its type and its quality. those could be advertised online and sold online with out ever meeting the person. and you mail them from somewhere at least 50 miles away from you.
now the guitars may be more of a bitch to sell. those may need to be sold in person, because online, everyone sees it, print a piece of paper and put it up in the otaku hangouts to see if they want the guitar, you will probably get a more personal and less cop likely solution. otaku to otaku only getting it because of k-on, probably wont serial it or check the serial, or know how easily they can be tracked (if you know how). and will be around 2 grand of a profit at least, and hell if you kept it and got good at it, you would have a pretty nice guitar, and after long enough no one would suspect anything that it was stolen.
see this is a risk reward type of thing. its relatively low risk to sell it to an otaku, and if they are caught with it, in all likeliness it will be long enough that they cant remember your face all to well. see, its the kind of thing people think about when they fence a stolen laptop, the risk is getting caught, the reward is big enough that its worth it.
"like so much worthless moeblob trash"
shame on you Artefact!
Next, we'll be seeing all the K-ON! otakus and all the K-ON! haters battle it out in an epic scale battle far exceeding that of Evas and Gundams in 2ch, as haters will probably chuckle and cheer at the thieves for ruining the guitars, and as for the otakus...
Well, its kinda obvious isn't it? Looking forward to it(or not......?).
@ FlareStormX
Looking at your statement from a certain point of view, it almost seemed as if you are supporting the thieves for ruining the guitars. Or are you indeed supporting them?
K-ON sucks pretty much! S1 was enough already.
Rather be a Moeblob fan with a soul than a pahtologically sarcastic Jew Bastard like you.
When i heard Azunyan's guitar was stolen, i nearly cried.
FIND THEM AND HANG EM HIGH !!!!!
When they heard Yui was hot on their trail, they just had to get rid of it to throw off the scent.
They're not average thieves, they must be anti-Moe extremists.
Any half decent thug with a web connection could've waited for the heat to go down, and then sold the stuff online through different sites.
These guys were sending a message!
Who could be next?????
DEATH PENALTY !!!
I don't care about the association with the show, despite liking it... but how dare they perform such deeds against the guitars!
"death penalty"??!! - WUT??
-
You're probably the one that took it! - yur just covering yur trail???
-
Deth Penalty my ass, you gotta catch them first and allow due process.
-
Oh ye gods of asgard, wutz this world coming too??
