He should stop trolling late night anime and spend some actual brain cells on developing Bleach from the craptastic dunghole it's been for over a year.

So... I don't think people can use the plot in Bleach to get back at him.

I mean, SERIOUSLY, was there any plot in K-on!...? No, you shouldn't even have to reply to this one...

However, if a show with messed up/no plot gets better or worse by containing moe characters can be debated.

I'm still willing to give bleach a chance to redeem itself. Although, it is down to one chance for me at this point. Which is what naruto is down to for me. Kinda sad that. My main issue with bleach right now, is that NOTHING IS HAPPENING. Don't try and tell me otherwise either. We've barely learned anything in what, 4 chapters? About what is happening next. Seriously, that is retarded.

For example, The Magnificent Seven is still considered a remake of Seven Samurai despite being set in the American west not Japan, because it's basically the same story.

bleach is a fighting shonen manga that had a plot the whole show, but after ss they took the plot and ran it into the ground, and than grabbed it by the hair and repeatedly rammed its face into the ground.

k-on was a slice of life that revolved around girls who started a school club for their band.

if you can stand slice of life, and non drama infused plots with no fighting, than k-on was as close to a masterpiece in its genre that you can get. the same cant be said about bleach, who after the ss arc, well... i honestly cant think of something that dropped the ball that badly before.

not exactly. its more a moe made by the same studio is kind of coppy paste change hair and eye colors. you can mostly tell who made what moe anime based on the animation style.

not exactly. some times there is a rock bottem moment in almost any long shonen battle fest, where the main character basicly loses everything, that happens randomly.

and with "moe" anime, what ever the fuck that means any more, it is a formula, but the difference is in the events themselves. there are standard ones, but than there are the ones that are anything but standard. the events and the way they are made make or break a moe from same shit, to maybe watch.

My point is, at least the battle -> power up cycle invites more originality than the exact same situations with the exact same characters in the exact same settings, which is all unrelated to the plot (or lack thereof). I mean, the typical wussy-guy-falls-on-top-of-girl-and grabs-her-boob-by-accident scenario is so overdone as to be an eyeroller. Same for guy-bumps-into-girl-and-accidentally-sees-her-panties-and-gets-pawnched-in-the-face. And need I remind you this all happens in a school hallway or in the classroom.

dude, k-on and bleach have different genres...
a slice of life anime doesn't have plot at all, or not that much

Actually, Bleach died right after the first 9 volumes. I actually enjoyed it up until the point it became another power beatdown shitfest.

Given its priorities, moe pretty much beats it out in terms of quality simply because it does not spend 50 something chapters getting 1 fight over with.

Also, if you notice Kubo's penmanship, he doesn't actually practice what he preaches. If you remove the hair and extra features, you'll see that a lot of his characters all share very similar facial structures unless they are the more unique ones (like Gin Ichimaru).

Bleach failed to be entertaining after volume 9.

The matter of practicing what you preach is important here as Kubo doesn't follow his own credo. Everything character he has drawn thus far have notably similar faces to the point where all you need to do to make a new character is to swap their hair. What's really amazing is how he is still up there as one of the big three.

hell, something like k-on may not have an over all plot, but it still goes faster than that.

now onto everyone else who says k-on doesnt have a plot.
and lets be clear here, k-on doesn't have a "the world will end if we don't **********" or "she will die unless **************" plot but it has episodic plots, that can be interesting if you are able to watch the show.

Bleach has always been derivative from the get-go. The ruffian -> ghost police with girl reaper partner premise is from Yu Yu Hakusho, Orihime and her brother are from Ushio and Tora, and so on. Then it got worse and started copying itself. Two guys from another world nab a girl, Ichigo trains and gets a team to rescue her. Everything that plays out, like forbidden techniques that cost the user's powers, are recycled. Using truckloads of bland, cloned bishounen.

Instead of having fight scenes like DBZ, though, Bleach spends 15 large, empty panels on single sentence word balloons for every panel of something happening... then has half the fights take place off screen. The manga moves at the DBZ anime's pace, just with less variety and payoff. Saying Bleach is like DBZ is a horrible insult to all generic shounen fighting series.

...but that's also why we love it. Bleach has always been a hilarious train wreck that gets worse any time anything happens, like Twilight. The serious defenders have got to be trolls, but that's no reason not to enjoy the series. You really can't top gems like Kubo complaining about interchangeable bishounen.

I'm sure he can tell the difference between DBZ's Goku, Naruto, and that spikey- and yellow-haired dude in Bleach.
