Same here, actually. I love it, but they've been doing it way too much nowadays. And always attaching pretty much the same personalities to this type of character as well.
While it's getting overused, I'll agree, this doesn't make it non-hittable by any means!

Gothic lolita is a fashion like any other. There's nothing 'overused' about it unless you're talking about the archetypes in anime... in which case you should probably stop watching cliche anime.

I look at those pics as i listen to The Funeral from Iced Earth it´s a little bizarr. But for the cosplay I have not much to criticize.

its great and all but IMO singi is better in my books.
She was good and the quality of the costume was better but the face never seemed to fit the part. I do still have those images though.

Some of those images are shopped. Look at the shadows and the highlights.
Which is a shame because i think she could have done without digital manipulation.
some times its not even the cosplayers fault, most photographers wouldn't let out there photo until its been shopped a bit.
Could have chosen a better place for the photoshoot, urban street and road don't really match her Gothic style.
The street doesn't, but the one next to the water is pretty good.

Great costume, great cosplay and she has a great look but the posing in a street doesn't do it. The street setting really doesn't suit her cosplay. She needs to be posing in a graveyard or a Gothic ruin.

I thought the setting was the best part. Alone in town at night, just like Suigintou...
Frankly I don't think it's such a well-done cosplay. Pretty average. The costume seems rather poorly done (just look at the ribbons in the front).
The shooting location is also poorly chosen, as all the detail, which is really important for a character like this, completely fades out in the background. And not just the location. Okay, she's photoshopped just as well as any other cosplayer but the pictures are boring and generic. I'm not getting a Suigintou vibe from those at all. It's just a person dressed up as Suigintou.

Fail for using crushed panne as the main fabric. That stuff belongs in overpriced store bought Halloween costumes and that's it. Construction isn't bad, but her fabric choice is horrid.

Gothica has no particular appeal to me so I don't know the rules, but if you ask me the sub/urban setting is a fucking mismatch from hell. My impression is that it belongs among finer fabrics and textiles, gardens and tea scenes, libraries and studies, the locale of Rozen Maiden. The refined vibe does NOT match parking lots and alleys.
