    I find the censoring funny, it is the viewer's fault if they take it seriously. If they hate it so much they need to wait for the BD...

    Censoring is censoring.

    - regardless if its "funny" ink, blobs, shadows, steam, rays, mosaic or anything else (like recent examples of censoring censorship, such as blobs over mosaic ...)

    - regardless of reasons - greedy bait for bd/dvd (mostly non-mosaic) or cowardish yield to overinterpreted-constitution-violating #175 of JPC (mostly mosaic). Although while the former is logically excusable for marketing reasons (putting aside if it's actually efficient), the latter is completely retarded (even more so, if you consider what doesn't have to be censored in e.g. less usual fetish JAVs, but that terrible clitoris can't be seen at all cost)

    So to answer: "Would these people prefer random rays of light?"

    I couldn't care less. TV version of this show is macabrically censored - that's all that matters. imho.

    It's already been shown that the Hanzo character prefers other girls, she may end up bisexual, due to what the preview for the next episode suggests, but for now she's fully M for the princess.

    And he's not such a bad fella actually. Kinda reminds me of Shiro, and then I mean the version from the game itself, rather than the Anime adaption.

    At least the ink-splatter censorship goes along with the art style, so it makes it seem less intrusive.

    If the thing absouletly has to be censored, I prefer the ink blots to spontaneous sun flares. (Of course I prefer it to be not censored at all).

    I actually love watching this show. It's quite funny and seems to have a plot lurking somewhere, or at least they keep hinting to one.

    After watching up to episode 5 and determining that the flaws of the show are that the comedy's not that great, the ecchi is low and censored, and the lack of story is kind of annoying(at least up until half of its run, but I haven't seen 6 yet so I can't say just yet), this show is the most forgettable of the season for me.

    agree, is not about the censored/edit, the show haves good visuals, but is a very average show, the characters dont help to love it and the story is pretty poor.

    But, yeah I prefer a lot more this kind of censorship than the awful ray of light/steam.

    After Queen's Blade, that was quite hard to make a better ero-adaptation. But yeah, it's really sad people avoid this anime, its style is interesting. And well, the girls are hot. Let's forget about the story, it's non-existent.

    I'm telling you, it's not censorship- it was some moron down at the fabrication warehouse, he/she spilled his/her ink on the gels and decided to add his/her own little touch to the show. Once it was aired it was too late to do it any different, so now we're stuck with this shitty "censoring" of the most certainly wonderful bits.

    I completely agree with the argument in this article. I absolutely hate the splatter in HRSG. Annoying as hell when a nice boob flies into the screen and you can't see it because some idiot spilled his damned ink on a gel. It's rather noob-ish and stupid...and I'm just angry. I certainly hope they release an un-censored version at some point.

    The blank ink splatters was interesting in the first episode. In the second episode, it was eye-catching and "different". By the third episode, I'm pretty everyone that has resigned to watching this wreck of show, has become entirely annoyed and sick of the ink splatter censorship.

    I may be wrong, but personally, I'm pretty sure this isn't too far from the truth.

    I'm one of those bothering to watch this series, and I think that for censorship, they at least made an effort with it.

    Ridiculously enough, it's the one that messes the image the least, with the magical rays of light being the second worst after covering things with random things like bats and bears like Rosario+Vampire

    @Ghost Dog: good question, man. this show doesn't look very high on plot (but then again, maybe it's fab, idk), but i know i was watching censored versions of high school of the dead just so i could see what was going on, even if the gore was toned down. then again, my interests are pretty character-oriented, so i didn't mind too much.

    What's the point of watching a serious' TV release anymore if it's incomplete and you'll have to shell out cash for the full thing?

    Exactly, plus in all honesty I actually like the black ink. It's a hell of a lot more creative then other studio's marketing campaigns for DVD's. Plus it fits with the art style so I don't mind at all. As long as those ink blots are removed upon BD release I don't mind.
