    Oh wow, saw half of that episode now and its fucking Awesome, like i said before, i never had that much joy of watching a Anime Series since a long time.

    The prob is that ppl like you are to much into "mass production anime" or "mainstream anime".
    While other studios try to bring up other manners of art, they fight a real and harsh battle that mostly seems lost, still there are ppl who at least think differently, its all a matter of taste and the thing is people cant be constructive which really is sad to me.
    I dont care people say i dislike it as long they find a good reason to make critics.

    Btw this anime is animated in a manner cartoonnetwork could never pull of. People tend to mistake art with animation, also the art is pretty japanese if you go explore japanese trends, just try to find kawai art concepts and you will see this is more japanese then western, ppl just fail at some points.
    Truth is that i enjoy seeing new manners of art and which are really well constructed, story too.
    Just grow and be constructive otherwise you wont go far.

    Bah need to make an acc since sankaku changed i never posted again cause i didnt wont to but it seems i am quite obligated to.

    Culture improvement and thats all.
    Gainax just manages to be unique and thats why i love them so much.

    It's funny how people pick on the art style of episode 5B when that particular art style has been around for a while.

    Look up Tekkon Kinkreet by Studio 4°C, assholes.

    This exact same art style was also used by Studio 4°C in their animated short-film for Batman: Gotham Knight.

    I like the art style, but not because that I think it's pretty, I actually find the style rather ugly. But that's what it's SUPPOSED to look like. The photo-realism of the backgrounds and the unattractiveness of the characters are supposed to showcase how unattractive real-life can look like.

    Only people who've watched Tekkon Kinkreet would be able to appreciate how the story and art style in 5B compliment each other.

    this art style has also been used in kemonozume so maybe the fact that is produced by CONCHI whoever he is, people complaining about this will keep complaining cuz they will keep featuring directors in next chapters

    The critics who criticize the art probably didn't pay much attention to the story of 5B, which is actually told from a glum guy's PoV when he sees Panty & Stocking, who are like gods.

    In the end, its still a pretty good episode.

    I like how just because the leg isn't show, that the leg isn't there. Its not like she could be winding her leg up back behind her skirt to kick someone or anything. there is quite a few reasons as to why the leg wouldn't be drawn if you take the time to actually see what is being shown in the image.
    I'm not defending the show, I'm assaulting stupidity.

    I like the originality of the show. I can watch as much 'normal' anime as I want, so I find P&S rather a nice change-of-pace. All I can say to the detractors is "Don't watch it if you don't like it, but please STFU!"

    oddly, the most lower point of Gainax was when try tried to hard to do manga adaptions, more "normal" anime: Mahoromatic and Kareshi Kanojo no jijo. Both panned by critics and fans.

    nah! I hope Gainax keeps creating new and refreshing IP like FLCL, Nadia, Abenobashi, Evangelion, Gurren lagann, gunbuster/diebuster, ebichu and P&S

    Ebichuu isn't a new IP for Gainax... it was josei manga first. Gainax decided to do it because everyone on the Eva set got a kick out of it when Kotono brought it in one day.

    Sure Karekano was panned by the critics and fans based on it's entire run... but early on it was still a critical success and very popular with fans. It was considered a risky venture for Gainax when they first announced it... at that point, nobody was sure how Gainax would do with a shojo property, but they managed to come out strong with high energy and hilarious episodes that won people over pretty quick. And then it disintegrated in legendary fashion (which everyone should already know). There is a very good series there for the watching, you just need to abridge it.

    As for P&S... I'm finding it good enough to at least keep watching. But it's no where near as good as Ebichu.
