Strike Witches Movie Announced

The reason for the lack of a third season announcement for Strike Witches has been made clear – a full Strike Witches movie has just been announced in its stead.
Details are yet lacking (Fumikane and NicoNico merely state it is in production), but a 2011 release as direct continuation from the TV series seems the obvious choice.
With both K-ON! and Strike Witches receiving movie adaptations, Type B otaku are currently experiencing anticipatory paroxysms of moe-induced ecstasy.

anime movies are the big things these days, aren't they.
I hope they don't continue the series' main plot. One, that story is over, it's done. It was resolved in the series itself. Two, Strike Witches verse is gigantic and has like 80 or 90 witches that have not yet been animated, including more than half a dozen entire fighter wings.
Three, screw Yoshika. I hate that shallow Mary Sue.
If we were talking about a third season, I would readily agree. No matter how much I like Eila+Sanya. However, I wonder how the very limited length of a movie would serve as intensely character driven a show as Strike Witches if it were to introduce a host of completely new characters. I'm not saying it wouldn't work, after all, they could largely save the time normally required for explaining the setting since everybody already knows it. But with the kind of nonexistent plots Strike Witches is famous of, I can't help but wonder.
Actually the plot wasn't resolved at all.
a) The fate of Yoshika's father, alive or dead?
b) The humanoid Neuroi vs the Old School types
c) What brought the Neuroi to Earth in the first place?
And that's just off the top of my head.
Now this doesn't mean that the other witches cannot play a role. Or even have starring roles, however, it would be hugely strange, if elements a and b were resolved by someone else than Yoshika, considering how integral she is to those elements.
It would be like somebody other than Hamlet going after Claudius for the murder of the King.
I'm happy as long as Hanna appears.
Which Hanna? Marseille? Wind? Rudel?

THE PLOT IS'NT RESOLVED!!
There are still so many unsolved mysteries:
1. Where and why did the Neuroi came to Earth?
2. Miyafuji's father's fate.
3. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: IF YOU LOOK AT THE END OF EPISODE 12 CAREFULLY WHERE REPPUMARU AND THE STRIKER UNITS LIE WITH THE BATTLESHIP YAMATO ON A SEA SHORE, YOU COULD SEE A SHADOW OF SOMEONE WALKING OVER THE SCENE ON THE UPPER LEFT CORNER OF THE SCREEN IN THE LAST SECOND OF THE VIDEO. WHO OR WHAT IS IT?
Don't EVER mention Striek Witches and K-On on the same sentance. K-On is a kids show, you know.

Sorry but this wasn't supposed to be for the so could Type B! at least initially.
Sadly, the producers were thinking "realistically" out of money matters and catered to those "Otaku Type Bs" instead..
How I missed the approach done in the OVA
I wished this franchise didn't got popular so that it's fandom didn't got infested with Type B Otaku.

There are limits to how much yuri service and loli bathing you can show on a movie.
Also, Type A otaku don't exist.

movies have fanservice but typically won't include gratuitous shots of loli chests or inane banana licking contests. it will be tamer than bds. though it will prob still have underwear-less lolis stuck in a tree and will still be covered by leaves.
