More China quality produce emerges – this time nori (laver, or edible seaweed), made from quality black plastic instead of mere seaweed as might be expected…
There are some understandable doubts as to whether the ISO mark is genuine. Reportedly Malaysian authorities later banned imports of the ersatz seaweed, though Beijing shoppers seem to have had no such luck.
Coming from the nation that makes bridges out of rubbish and cooking oil from sewage, it could be worse, if barely.

the photos in the "current topic" are dated 2009/9/4 which is a few days after the bangkokpost.com and are known to be photos being distributed by chain emails... not exactly a reliable source.

How does this keep happening? I dont understand, there are more articles like these every month. How does China keep churning out this shit without being stopped?
Have you checked the population of China recently? Do you know how much stuff that many people can produce? Hell, one a month from a relatively under-developed country? That's pretty good. If one was posted every week or something, I'd see it more like how you guys do, but for Christ's sake, it's not that often. Everyone just likes posting information on this kind of stuff on EVERY occasion possible. If it's, for example, America, they'd ignore it. But if it's China, the media and the internet are so quick to pick up on it and dramatize it.
I haven't eaten non served on a plate form of chinese food in decades, I cannot believe people order up that stuff in a milk carton and eat it. /gag

We can enjoy lots of good hybrid food from surrounding regions, use pirated softwares, and use first-class facilities even though we mostly don't have first-class mentality and talent thanks to Malaysia being peaceful.
