Aside from the usual doubts about Shaft’s production practices, the fan response appears to be highly positive.

Yeah, this was aired at the beginning of last year, and this was just green lit so that would mean it should air sometime next time year -there's a 2 year gap between the 2 seasons.

I can't believe people are still going on about being Shafted considering the amazing quality of both their shows this season. They put the money from Bakemonogatari to very good use.

I actually haven't got around to watching season 1, guess this is an excuse to do so.
