Nendoroids are so awesome and stand out so much, it's quickly becoming the mascot figure to have for crazy otakus now.
I also wonder how many of Love Plus fans are female...
So many different boyfriends, what a whore.
The love plus girls are really loose. ^_^
Love Plus hookers have one big plus. You won't get syphilis.
Awwwww....
But where's the fun if not risking danger at the edge of the clitoris? =D
#2 so many DSes... creepy generation.
@Darkrockslizer
yeah so much fail in one pic
also something is wrong in that pic, there are 2 guys sitting there together oO
Even if they're creepy otaku...They do make damn delicious looking cakes.
Except for the cake in pic 22, that one is a lie.
@Schrobby but I like my girls tight...
Yup. Quite a dilemma, isn't it?
Well I hope for their sakes, the next Love Plus game doesn't include bishies.
Don't even think about it, the producers might get weird ideas...
virtual dates? I think that ship has sailed.
I wouldn't worry too much...as Konami was smart enough to release Tokimeki Memorial for girls SEPARATELY as Tokimeki Memorial girl's Side, and know the best way to milk the otakus' money (the travel tours etc), if they did release "Love Plus Girl's Side", pretty sure they will not be dumb enough to put them in together with the Love Plus girls, unless they were walking backward dropping off the stairs hitting their head lol
I kinda wish they'd make a version for girls. |3
Ah, i see what you did there, JohnHayabusa.
-.- I see wat u did thar.
Nendoroids are cute. I think I might get a Ryougi Shiki one later if I can find a place with stock.
Everyone likes Nendoroids. ^_^
When I saw preview pics of the vid below I thought they made it with stop motion, but it really was 3D. Still very entertaining.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSuBKW1DrU4
I should cosplay that Manaka girl, get in that otaku's house, tell him i'm the true thing and eat everything he made!
NYAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH~~
If I knew enough moonspeak, I'd gladly get this game and play it. Galge can get really entertaining, and I feel a nice sense of accomplishment when I get them all girls.
Freaks
Each to his own.
Nope, its still weird
being normal is boring ;<
What is "normal" anyway? with all the new cultures poppin up and mutating and getting popular like internet memes "normal" is just plain bland.
Except a majority of those cultures are not being perceived as laughingstocks by the rest of the world.
That would depend entirely on who you speak with. I have met entirely too many normals who consider e.g. the entirety of Japan ludicrous and something to laugh at. A western example: For many Europeans, during G.W. Bush's years as president the USA quickly turned from something to feel compassion for, to a retarded embarrassing Lenny-type cousin you were so exasperated with you didn't have the energy to do anything but laugh at.
And don't forget other emotions: There is a great amount of people who are downright pissed off at the attitudes in some cultures, even among western countries. e.g. North Korea is a country "normal" people frequently are displeased with.
Epic, i dont know why people get upset because of this...i think they are the only freaks here, everyone can have the live they want, if your life sucks that much to come here a leave commets to feel better, then get a better life, loosers.
I dont really understand these otakus, but well, whocares, maybe some of them work to pay their own stuff and this is only a full time hobby.
And now with the nintendo 3ds coming, i guess there will be a lot of more otakus coming.
It's precisely how our lives are better than theirs that we have the right to say that these people are pathetic.
"Our lives"? sorry but you are more lonely than the creepy otakus if you are comparing lives ;<
It's easier to compare and feel better when they choose an example they already deem lower than theirs.
Enjoy your sheep bandwagon driven interests.
Yeah, right, because anything "mainstream" or "acceptable by society" is sheepish. Here's news for you, fucktard: it's because of your society that you are able to survive.
society won't do a thing for you, the truth is that you work for society, and that is just sad~
Twisting words at their convenience, that's a troll for you.
People get into a lot of mainstream crap just for the sake of being "with the crowd" or because they look more socially acceptable than other hobbies. These kind of people are the sheep who just jump into the current popular bandwagon; the interests themselves aren't sheepish.
The majority of the people make a society. I make the society. So does he, and he and he. Just because we follow a set of rules and guidelines for living doesn't make us "sheep following a bandwagon". The society functions because of the contributions of each person, establishing what is known as the norm. If you don't want to work with society, then shut yourself out and go live in a cave. Oh right, you can't. Because you need all the comforts of the modern world, which is made up by society.
So shut the fuck up and stop acting like you're cool because you "deviate from the norm". Watching anime, reading manga, or geeking out on the next fucking moeblob is okay. Worshipping a fictional 2D character to the extent of offering them food and making a shrine for them for their every "birthday' just makes you a creepy sonovabitch.
I wish I'm rich enough to visit each of them in their houses and smack them across the face hard.
Fucking losers.
Commenting on this site on Otakus for Otakus = Not loser?
You should smack yourself first before even considering smacking others.
But it's fun watching how low humanity can go.
How low humanity can go eh? Look at that one fan with a Sukiyaki SALAD plate for celebrating. Tasteful!
Imagine half the world starving while some fictional character gets food? How tasteful can it really get?
You know, I never really understood this line of logic. Every time I see any video or post on 'Competitive Eating' there will be someone who says things like 'think of the kids in Africa!'... or something to that effect.
Seriously, you mean to say that you yourself are not indulging in a comfortable lifestyle of having three meals a day? Do you donate money, food and clothes to people in Africa or the Middle East? How hypocritical can you get?
I'm not saying that we shouldn't care about the people who are starving or poor, it's just that we live in different parts of the world, in completely different contexts, in completely different cultures. What's the use of comparing or complaining when nothing is going to be done or changed?
Besides, it's not like the food gets wasted or anything.
Donate money yes, don't waste food and eat what's enough for me yes (and I don't eat 3 meals a day all the time, because it isn't necessary if I reach daily recommended values.)
I'm not one of the superior zealots who go around selflessly promoting causes, but you know "your line of logic" seems to be that nobody will ever care or something. Some people do, I would think it's generally disappointing and frustrating that it's considered "hypocritical" when I actually do what I write. And the money spent on this fictional character, it certainly can go to charity.
Are you happy now knowing you shot a hypocrite like me? Must be charming to know your inner ego is stroked, and you will be feeling really good that evening when you get +1.0.
Sigh.
Actar speaks the truth.
Hypocrites will be hypocrites.
If you care so much about them, go help the starving instead of wasting your time on Sankaku.
>But it's fun watching how low humanity can go.
how about making a screenshot of your own post, then ?
wasting time reading and posting on a site about stuffs/culture you're totally unaware about for "watching how low humanity can go" is by itself a proof of how low humanity can go
So much trouble over an imaginary fictional person's birthday! I can't even imagine people...
Oh wait... Christmas. Never mind.
Proceed with your Manaka worship.
>stuffs/culture you're totally unaware of
Are you kidding me? I know how this culture works. I know how otaku can be so pathetically devoted to their hobby it borders on the insane (like this). That's precisely HOW I can pretty much say humanity can go this low.
Next time, think before you hit that Enter button, you fucking weaboo loser.
I think you need to reconsider what you wrote lol... that was a pretty lousy rebuttal on him. And Otaku has no S; it's not an English word.
But generally speaking, celebrating a fictional character's birthday... is way creepy and errrrr to tell the truth, they have prolly lost touch in reality. An epidemic spreading, I'd say.
It's certainly weird... but creepy? What's so creepy about having fun and eating cake? The occasion people choose to do so seems a bit arbitrary to me. Some people celebrate egg-laying hares, or a preacher nailed to a cross, or a manifold of even more silly or horrible things. Compared to that, celebrating a fictional birthday is an innocent pass-time.
At this point, it's an English word and a Japanese word, really, like sushi, samurai, ninja, karaoke, geisha, and so on.
Do you go up to people talking about singing karaoke at a bar and tell them they're pronouncing it wrong?
@19:28
It may not be a perfect essay, but he brings up several good points. The main gist of his "rebuttal" is simply that those who go around harping about the "poor starving children" are themselves not lifting a single finger to help them. Such behavior is hypocritical, and they should probably stfu or do some charity work before criticising others.
Secondly, to say "otaku" is not an english word is, at the moment, correct. However, the english language is constantly changing. Given enough usage, "otaku" may one day become an entry in any official dictionary. You can say that it is grammatically wrong to write it as "otakues", because in english, the "-es" form is only used when the word ends with a "z, x, ch or s". The grammatically correct way to write it in english IS, in fact, "otakus".
otaku is already plural on it's own. You wouldn't go around saying "Let's go eat some sushis." would you?
actar how come you didn't reply back to the k-on movie article? i was interested in seeing your response but it seems like you ran awaay lol
@ 07:42
Apologies, I did read your reply, but real life things got in the way and I forgot to leave a response. (^.^;)
>Some people celebrate egg-laying hares, or a preacher nailed to a cross, or a manifold of even more silly or horrible things. Compared to that, celebrating a fictional birthday is an innocent pass-time.
To all the idiots comparing this to celebrating Christmas/Hanukkah/whatever, you're totally missing the fucking point. We don't mock those celebrations because they're not just to celebrate a "fictional being's birthday" (and even that's subject to fucking debate), the whole point of celebrating those is to spend time and have fun with your loved ones.
This, on the other hand, is a pathetic shut-in's attempt to stroke their worthless lives. Alone. In misery.
So shut the fuck up and stop defending dregs of humanity like this.
@ 00:20
By that logic, kimono and ninja are plural on their own as well, but the English plurals are "kimonos" and "ninjas," whereas samurai and sushi have the same singular as plural forms.
Who knows what'll happen to otaku if it ever achieves widespread usage.
>the whole point of celebrating those is to spend time and have fun with your loved ones
That wasn't what I was taught in Sunday school. Regardless, these people who celebrate Manaka's birthday on the internet do engage in a form of collective celebration, although often (but not always) via the web, rather than in person. And they're celebrating something they actually care about with like minded people.
So don't just go badmouthing things just because you don't get it.
>Regardless, these people who celebrate Manaka's birthday on the internet do engage in a form of collective celebration, although often (but not always) via the web, rather than in person.
"Collective celebration" is just a fancy way of saying you don't have friends to share an event with so you take pictures and show what you're doing to the world because no one else won't celebrate it with you.
I wish I'm rich enough to visit you at your house and smack you across the face hard for commenting on this site.
Fucking loser.
Is this a troll site for us to laugh at how creepy these otakus celebrate imaginary birthdays now?
I guess I need my troll face on now....
Heh. The small figures on the cake in pics #9 - #11 look delicious, though. I want to lick them till they're gone. ^_^
It's the nendoroids... they're stirring up the anons.
Some things deserve ridicule and scorn. There are few things in this world as decidedly creepy as these Otaku displays.
@henwy - These otaku are like religious fanatics aren't they? Nene, Rinko and Manaka are their goddesses and they're celebrating their brithdays. Isn't this just like a cult?
Indeed, and these goddesses aren't getting anywhere near as much money as actual religions benefiting from uncultivated (scientifically) people are.
K, let's not go down the religion topic anymore.
Let's thank Artefact for posting this article which has occupied us for the amount of time it occupied us for, and be done with it.
I want some of those cakes too, damn they look good.
Right. I highly doubt you can even fight your way out of a room of dakimuras.
But you're not rich enough, so you're also a looser haha. I would understand if you were a japanese, embarrassed at how your fellow japanese are acting. But if you're just another white guy, fuck off, you've got no reason to smack these guys for being loosers. In fact, you should just let them do as they please; more women for you! --that is if you're also not a looser yourself.
They're acting like a bunch of no-life retards. That counts to being ridiculed and mocked in this (or any) part of the world.
There's no need to visit anyone. You posted here, so go and smack yourself.
I wish I'm rich enough to visit love plus and smack them across the face hard.
Fucking losers.
But obviously you are not rich and do nothing but trolling around otaku's sites. Who's the loser now.
I wish my lord would with UFOs to kill Japan NOW!
