Linda Le, better known as Vampy in certain circles, is what many men would consider the ideal woman – especially when cosplaying Rei Ayanami.
Self-confessed ‘stylist, model, nerd, gamer junkie, etc’, Linda appears to have an excellent eye for detail and artistic direction. Though best known for her Morrigan cosplay, she may have also produced some of the interweb’s better Rei Ayanami cosplay shots.
The only thing which might disappoint fans about her portrayal of Rei Ayanami is her heavy Photoshop usage and the rather limited amount of shots taken:

Awesome Stuff! Except the third picture cause the cast (or is it bandages) which is too exaggerated makes her arm look too big.
The part about the "heavy Photoshop usage" kinda bugs me.

Well, I never said it was perfect. I just said that I liked it overall. I agree with the points made in the article, it would be even better without so much photoshop AND if there were a whole lot more pictures.
So much shoop that we can only guess how the original face would have looked.

Once again artifact has no idea how modeling works.
She probably had a lot of shots taken. To get those 3 pictures there were hundreds of pictures taken.
You could complain that she only released 3 photos. Probably because they are so heavy on the photoshop.
Even when you see Cosplayers release 30 or 40 photos, that's like 10% of all the pictures they took.
There can't be more pics. By the time they finish rendering all the Photoshop touch-ups, she'll be 80.
Shopped they may be, but those pics look great.
I don't really have a problem with heavy photoshop useage in cosplay pics anymore. Just as long as the end pic looks good.

I'm not a fan of her Rei, but I absolutely adore her Morrigan. It's actually my current desktop. I love me some Vampy, got to meet her as well :3

Her eyes are too expressive. Not even a little bit of the 'blank' and inexpressive character that Rei portrays.

The facial expression and demeanor are more important to good cosplay than a pretty face.
Even the third one, albeit done right, seems kinda off...

What's the point? When something is this far removed from reality, it can hardly be called "cosplay".
For all we know, it could have originally been a middle aged black dude modeling for it; No one knows what the fuck the original model looks like.
Yeah, no one knows what she looks like, except for anyone who has gone to her website and seen a great number of un-shopped photos of her, which suggest that the Rei photos don't really distort what she looks like at all.

I'll give this one praise for its artistic value. The images are truly beautiful, no doubt about that.
BUT, i do have some reservations regardingthe theme of the images. To be specific, i have a hard time accepting this as a Rei Ayanami cosplay. As i said, i do not doubt the professionalism.
Personally, i think that , for whatever reason, Rei Ayanami is an extremely difficult cosplay to pull off correctly. I have yet to see one that doesn't strike me as odd, honestly. Many other Gainax characters suffer the same fate (i mean you, Asuka).
Omnomnom is about all i can think to say lol, awesome cosplay i do approve :)
I really like her cosplays and she seems alternative and I love her cyber Goth ones. As I big Rei Ayanami fan, I really like her last photo and she does have that stoic Rei facial expression.
I also really like Ayanami*yay* Rei plugsuit cosplay and honestly think she is the best, she really pulls off the character and looks alot like her. She put three years into that cosplay. I am very surprised there is little media attention about her.
