Maybe a farting sound or two. ^_^
Namco stupidly decided to create a mix gender game in a 9 GiG DUAL DISK that probably Doesn't have the space needed to keep the original cast plus the new boy toys.
So three where removed for SPACE. They didn't do it to piss off idol otakus.. they just didn't have the SPACE to keep them!
Again: Namco should of; could of made a completely different game with just the boy toys to cater to the female crowd and decided that it was too dangerous. So they laced the "water hole" for potential customers who might like to buy an all boy toy crowd it the future. Face it; outside of the most hardened idol otaku. Most would just skip the boy toys and play with the girls anyway~
Adding another disc is not hard. Enough additional space for the gay band and a new loli or two.
i can relate. Its like taking Max Payne and turning him to bald fat guy killing hobos in sao paolo. Oh wait...
Max Payne 3: The real Fall of Max Payne.
Sausage fest.
Not even the females are amused...fail
Maybe next time they try to understand their customers.
adding boys to an used to be all girls idol management game is plain wrong
srly it doesnt make sense for me. Why did namco get rid of those girls and replace them with those gay male characters? Namco is very aware of what its public are... so why such a stupid move?
why must namco bandai remove the 4 girls??? why they can't just keep the girls while adding the boys??? i think that's a better idea... and i don't accept limitation of console or storage memory to be an excuse for this...
The face of those guys in the last picture look like they are asking:" What the f**k??? Where is the girls??? Are they thinking I am GAY???"
kimoii, is the only way to describe those new male idol and not for the fans
I guess the guy with the green lightsaber felt really awkward after that.
Also: LOL!
Anyway, keep in mind. This disaster was not the creation of the NB creative staff, it's the fucking, retarded CEO and his ass-lickers that come up with such crappy marketing shit. NB usually gets a lot of flack, understandably so, but one should always know the true culprit of a crime.
Honestly, this could have been solved if they put those guys in a different game. Like "Idolmaster for girls" or something. Isn't that the point of putting guys here is to attract female audience?
Why the heck did they put these guys on a franchise primarily known for a devoted MALE OTAKU FANBASE!? Somebody in Namco's marketing department needs to get sacked.
idolmaster girls side
All those lost soul sad cause they take away there favorite chracter I feel your pain idolm@ster fan boys I feel your pain
This ladies and gentlemen is why boy service and girl service are best kept separate.
Much like in porn its a complete mood killer and sort of defeats the whole point.
I think Namco forgot why they called it "Idol M@ster" Talk about forgetting your target audience...lol
It's like all japanese game developers suddenly decided to commit seppuku by pissing off their costomers.
Namco, Squeenix, who'll be next?
Supply and demand my friends.
Where one falls another shall rise.
Teehee! Squeenix. First time I heard them being called that.
I don't find something wrong.
You should be worrying if the "men" audience gets hyped by looking male bishie characters. That will be very creepy.
Really? From what I've heard they like the traps over there in Japan so whats the difference? Gay is gay to me so I figured they would like something like that. Considering most of the otaku over there are a pack of confused gendered people.
Well, bishounen and trap are not the same.
Traps, while of the male gender, have very feminine characteristics and can pass as a girl with no problem (in fact they wouldn't be able to pass as a man). Their intended demographic are men, although women can also fall for their trappy charms.
Bishounen are men; whilst beautiful or handsome you can still recognize them as individuals of the male gender. They would have a hard time passing as a girl (if at all) and are intended for a female demographic.
Otaku get hyped at traps because they really look pretty much like girls down to their body shape, while Jupiter is very much bishounen.
And then you have some bishies like Alto Saotome, who straddle the two sides. Stick him in a uniform, and he's your standard Bishie.
Stick him in a kimono and slap some make up on his face, and he can play a princess in a play.
Hence, his nickname of Princess (Hime)
Namco Tales division fucks over their western fans...
...Namco iM@S division fucks over the locals/otaku in general.
It seems like the only team who cares for everyone is Harada and the Tekken/Soul series group.

I like how there's a girl there, and even she's bored
you're mistaken their reactions:
they're simply struck dumb at how something so amazingly awesomely good could possibly ever exist
see that guy in the black t-shirt at the front?
the one without a hat?
he just dies of happiness
Are those people holding these lightsabers I just found on the commercial section on the bottom of this page?? XD http://images3.jlist.com/g6t/YYN284_e.jpg
They're holding glowsticks. An Idol event without glowsticks is like a day without sunshine.
The super-bright green ones only last for a little while, but they'll light you up like a burning sun. Perfect if you want to draw attention to yourself/piss off everyone around you.
Glowsticks, mate. Glowsticks.
Its like a 4 Gaijin parody :\
Wonder why they wont put all of them ingame instead of removing some characters. oO
Like 4 Gaijin, just with more people, and rightfully so.
Looks like the initial reaction when the evangelion movie remakes where announced...
"ANOTHER remake of the original.....................?"
made for almost the exact same thing.
But in reverse!
Namco might as well stop the bs and put the characters back in.
Amen...
What can I say that has already been said..?
Namco would do well to put those 4 girls back in if they do not wish to further condemn themselves from this tragic marketing failure...
It's like they killed those 4 girls and replaced them with these 3 guys no one gives a flying f*ck about...
They may as well have murdered them off stage and replaced them hoping no one realize the difference...
I don't blame them. I'd be mad too if they suddenly got rid of my favorite characters from a game they happened to be the main characters of.
What was Namco thinking anyway..
What was Namco thinking? Quoting a recent post here at Sankaku:
Namco Bandai: “Selling Full Games is No Good”
It's all about the DLC and the all mighty $, I mean yen.
Idolm@ster? For girls? I lol'd.
Remember in the first game, where Makoto was worried about some giant insect crawling around in her hair?
Makoto: Uwaaaah! Get it off Producer-san!
*now you can either calm her down by checking your hair, or ignore her phobia and touch her breasts. I chose the latter while making a :3 face*
Producer: :3......did I get it?
Ah, nostalgia. Anyway, no. This game was most definetely not made for girls.
Idol groping FTW.
You thought idolm@ster was made for girls?
I lol'd. In case you didn't notice, the games had an idol groping feature.
Example: Makoto thinks she has a bug in her hair.
Makoto: Uwaaah! Get it off!
*goes to interactive portion, where you can either check her hair for the bug, or, more likely, you make a :3 face and touch her breasts.
Producer: :3...I think I got it... :D
You can question that. But why not leave the females in? Why take them out. Im all for putting in the males, but to take out the females completly and putting in the males. The rest of ur logic seems logical enough thoughi.
If you want to sell to girls make a new game with an all boy/bishonen/reverse trap cast. Fail, Namco.
So it was still a marketing failure to put in the male characters.
Not so much putting the male chars in, if that is all they did would be alot smaller outrage.
It's the fact they were put in at the expense of existing chars.
This made there addition too hostile as all the fans of the previous chars see the new males ones are the reason why they got dropped.
Then they should've started a new idolmaster focusing only on a group of boys, rather than shoehorning them into a game so clearly made for guys, while at the same time adding insult to injurty by making a bunch of the girls unplayable.
The guys in this game look like a half-assed effort to reach to a female audience.
Expense? Just replace the charas, the costumes and the songs and you're set. The game itself can stay just about the same. It would be really cheap to do and could very well double the sales.
You mean people like yourself then? ;>
Directed at girls? Who the fuck plays Idolmaster besides fat old otakus that live with their parents or alone in tiny apartments?
Maybe is directed for... girls?
Damn, look at all those excited girls in the audience! Great marketing success!
Ever since first hearing about the removal of some of the female characters to add male characters, I couldn't help to think that the developers at Namco did this for a reason. Why? I seriously think they were getting creeped out by the over-abundance of male consumers to the title and wished to gain more of a female audience.
This change could be a case of either a bad marketing move, or a question of what Namco views as morals. In my opinion, IdolMaster was never really directed toward a male audience in the first place.. It just happened.
Namco don't want the expense of making two games, they want everyone to buy the same game, so they should have just added the new characters without removing any.
namco wan't me fap to these
