One thing i am still wondering is their actual age, and whether America will actually even consider this "morally challenging" cartoon.

I reminds me of Powerpuff girls. And I'll admit to watching that, as it was pretty funny. But this show is clearly aimed a bit more at adults.

I agree Canadane. Power Puff Girls Z also looked like 'more mature' version of PPG, but it felt like it was more for the younger audience than the ironic/sarcastic original Power Puff, which I actually think is best received by an adult to pick up its intracacies. Either way, I liked PPGZ a lot.

But this Pantie show to me is what PPGZ could've been like if it was unleashed for a more adult audience.

first things first:
you can exclude the transformation scene from everything i write.
it was awesome, and i'm not even into magical girl shows.

i as looking forward to this but i really had to force myself through this.
first episode consisted of people getting covered in shit and other people puking because of the stench.
i'm not offended or anything, and i watched HotD for the sillyness despite all the hate (and i usually don't even like fanservice shows) but i really don't get what's supposed to be funny in this.
there's not a single scene where i could say "ok, not my humour, but i can see why people could laugh about this"
alltogether it was just boring for me.

also something with such a simplistic art could have had way better animation than this low framerate stuff.
of course i don't want CG but it was really choppy sometimes.
i just like the drawing style way to much to drop this after just one episode and will watch up to ep3 to give it a chance, i guess, but this one was just underwhelming.

Just saw the first episode. The action was great, and you can't beat magical girl transformations that include stripper poles.

My first impression: Genndy Tartakovsky meets OH! Super Milk Chan and Pretty Cure. And I didn't like it. Ignoring the poor, obviously Western-influenced animation, the 'who-gives-a-flying-shit' story, mediocre pacing, and the godawful toilet humor really put it out of me. It got literally two short laughs out of me for jokes I can't even remember. Boring shit to me.

Completely agree. It needs more story and less crude humor. Underwhelming to say the least, I'd say.

If we saw this in America it'd be on adult swim.

Considering the century-long waiting list for Stocking's special cake she received, if it was similar when she ordered it, she could be pretty old.

I dunno I loved Highschool of the dead, I normally hate such anime, am in the fence still about Queens blade it hurts my ehad...no not that ehad the top one..and no I no haz dick for head... or brains...I has no brains....

But damn it has a solid balance of wit,fan service and seriousness.

I could give rats ass about the animation style of this one. I checked it out since I've seen the trailers for it and looked crazy and random as hell and thats pretty much what I got. Also I got some of the best humor in a while. Also about HOTD, WTF DID YOU EXPECT? Have any other zombie movies been anything else then mindless entertaiment? No. So why would this be any different?

But... Different IS BETTER.

I dunno Anime tends to be better balanced in demographics cartoons tend to target children and thus the content tends to suck.....

There's a huge difference between Anime and Cartoons.

It's mostly due to the difference between Eastern and Western perception on who the target demographics are.

Anime is aimed from everyone from children to adults. Which is why anime aimed at children such as Pocket Monsters even included a lot of sexual innuendo and suggestive scenes in the original Japanese broadcasts.

Meanwhile Cartoons have been tarnished by adults with the distinctive believe that cartoons are only for children, and should never include anything else but material for children. If they see anything mildly suggestive, adults in Western countries will tend to call the companies and complain non-stop. Smoking scenes were edited out of Tom & Jerry DVDs because a large number of parents were complaining that it would influence their children. Family Guy is slightly breaking the mold, but realistically most viewers for that show are usually teens and poorly monitored underaged children.

E en though most of them I pointed out are shitty famous american comedy it doesn't changethe fact that there not meant to be aimed at children
