Comment on Final Fantasy XIV “Made in China” Quality Goods by Anonymous:

Would it be too nerdy to point out that ANY metallic cup, even stainless steel, will eventually corrode in some manner when used to store the listed substances?

The warning lists as two examples “fruit juice” and “carbonated beverages” as things you shouldn’t necessarily fill it with. Soda has a pH rating of 4 on average and as an example the citric acid in lemon juice is higher up as a 2. Left long enough they can eventually pit the stainless coating and corrode the cup.

Salt can actually passes through the stainless coating and corrode the metal from the inside.

Solid objects may scratch or otherwise damage the cup obviously.

The only one I’m at a loss for now is the milk/dairy warning.
