The news that IdolMaster 2 has dumped Ritsuko, Iori, Azusa and Ami as playable characters whilst adding a trio of sexy male idols has provoked a storm amongst the franchise’s notoriously creepy fans, with every tactic from an Internet hate campaign to a formal petition coming into play.

The first port of call for any irate otaku seeking to cause commercial chaos is Amazon.co.jp – almost 100 1-star reviews and scores of irreverent Photoshops soon flooded the site:
