hopefully they will incorporate all of the elements from VCI and VCII. and maybe a console version includes all three games features :)
Both VC1/VC2 had a lot to like and love surprisingly, even with the hate for VC2. About the only thing I didn't like in 2 was the grind, but even that was "secretly good" in that it gave it a reason to keep playing it.

As long as they dont take a step back in the game part, and the story is stronger than 2, and 1 if thats possible, then im happy.
You critize Sega for not showing gameplay for Valkyria Chronicles yet not do it toward Atlus with Catherine? Most of the content in the Catherine trailers are just cutscenes.
Because Sega is an easy target.
It's easy to rack up hits to the site when the focus on something negative and then build on it to get people to visit more and more.
VC3 already has the rabid anti-psp crowd foaming at the mouth so tossing in something that could suggest they're trying to cover up poor game quality with flashy anime sequences tosses some gas on the fire.

Definitely great trailer... for an upcoming anime release. On the other hand, I recall some of the Gran Turismo 4 trailers had nothing of the actual game in them, so this is nothing new.

It's like the anime staff didn't know about the game, as they apparently thought Faldio was the main character, and didn't realise that tanks were supposed to be destroyed by shooting the radiator.

I agree that as an adaptation it was pretty terrible, but as a series I think mediocre would be a more fitting description given how bad some series are.
What's with the 150 lb. cannon with a massive knife bayonette? That doesn't make sense on so multiple levels. I liked Valkyria Chronicles 1, but the game was heinously broken. Moving it to PSP, just made it 1 more series to give up on. I had a DS and PSP, but I sold them because they sucked and aren't worth owning. I'm not rebuying a bad system just for another super broke game with visual charm.

im a heavy gamer, but even i dont play my psp or ds enough to make there purchase worth while, there just isnt enough on those systems.
psp requires a second analog nub, ds... needs more real games.
Valkyria 2, Peace Walker, Resistance Retribution and Phantasy Star Portable 2 are good examples of portable games with console grade gameplay. I'm sure there are great examples for the DS as well. If you cement your argument on such a flimsy manner, you'll get it blown off in a second. Oh... wait... You already had your argument torn off. =P

Calling something bad just because you simply lack information about something, or is terrible at picking good games- is just plain silly.
The PSP is a great portable console. It's becoming a bit dated in terms of graphics perhaps, and that second analog could be useful for a few games- But theres still alot of innovation for the games on the system and it's also a cheaper choice for smaller companies to try show off their games (as they don't need to put as high quality on their games in terms of graphics) and can then focus more on the actual gameplay.
Not to mention that the piracy and homebrew is firm with it, and has alot of support.
...I can't help but think of Geass.
Especially since Fukuyama is apparently voicing some important character.
