Wow tufts of hair and it must really really hurt to have that tail exiting out where the anus should be. Going to be tough for them to do a few things.

I'm glad to see the modding community in XIV looks to be as active as it was for xi. One of the "advantages" of FFXI and apparently xiv is that the file format makes it very easy to put in mods for models, and Square Enix never seemed to care. I hope they continue their hands off policy, and also that someone makes a skin for Elezen Female soon.

Hardcore players could get around to level ALL jobs and skills faster than the previous game. Interesting... Thank you for the video.

I watched the video and understand it more now. However, its still not balanced. The video says you can combine skills together to be more powerful. Even if the exp gain is the same from a casual player vs hardcore player, the combination of different skills that can be combined can give the hardcore player an advantage even if lv is the same. Therefore, a hardcore player can still kick a casuals player ass making this unequal. I hope Im understanding this right. If I am, there is still a big gap between casual and hardcore player making this limit issue, null and void.

Plus, if you switch jobs, does that mean you start with a 1 threshold? That means you can gain 100% of the exp again? Am I listening to this right?

"Another option would've been to just add more playable content for each treshold, but that would've been too costly."

yea, it's too bad they're never adding any more content to the system ever... right?

    04:22 14/09/2010 # ! Neutral (0)

Everthing on the video would make sense if the game was f2p but im paying,i dont wanna have restrictions because some people cant acompany the hardcore players."What?they made this for the casuals be in the same level of hardcore and everyone have a fair game?" LOL right, then instead of the hardcore gamers teaming up with high leveled chars, they gonna team up with people with lots of skills and abilities, the casuals gonna get ditched in same way.

No. Physical level thresholds remain. Remember you have 2 different XP: Physical and per-class XP. Changing class doesn't reset your Physical XP thresholds, nor does it reset any other class thresholds. It just makes you work with the class-specific threshold. But by working with another class, the thresholds of the classes you are NOT currently on slowly starts to decrease.

And there will ALWAYS be a difference in possibility for casual vs hardcore. Taking any kind of difference away chases away hardcore players, you must always give them an incentive to pour in time and get a reward. Just how big that reward is, that is up to the game makers.

It is the physical levels that you base parties on really.

It is just more balanced in the sense that you have more people your level to party with. A Pugilist is still a Pugilist without Marauder abilities. SE is just forcing you to level the extra jobs instead of the community of players like XI and subjobs.

That's a very misleading video. Your guildleves will still be locked out, your xp lock will still be in effect for you class and his solution is basically to grind without a main quest or leve until your lock expires. It's not a solution to the immense lack of content and horrendous gameplay the game has.

people will simply ignore you, they can't understand how a video made by SE isn't biased towards them...

guys the concept is simple, it has been done before in other MMO in case you haven't noticed, but other MMO reward the casual player instead of shafting on the hardcore, if you pay to play then you should be able to play as you want and how SE wants you to level

guess what this system IS a time sink, and its only there for you to consume your time and paying for more subscriptions

You're not shafted, the rewards are better by leveling other jobs for their abilities. Pugilist with shockspikes is great but you don't get that unless you put some time in Conjurer. This is no different that leveling a subjob which is community forced unless you don't want a party in XI.

There are still Class Ranks. Even if you get to Physical Level wall you can still level your Class's Rank.

    "immense lack of content"
The game isn't even released yet. Would you rant for example about another game's demo because the demo has limited content?

You weren't "forced" to level a SJ. Never did the game penalize you for leveling one class for too long, ever. You didn't even have to have capped SJ either. Ultimate example of this was Map who had a relic but only a level 25 WAR SJ IIRC. In any case, it wasn't capped.

Lol, yet people will still complain about it. I don't understand why they're complaining. This really doesn't affect you, unless you play like 10 hours a day or something. Who the hell even plays 8 hours a day? Once you stop playing, or even fighting according to the video, the fatigue starts restoring. Why cry so much? If you don't like it, then don't buy the game. Take your opinions to the WoW forum where people will care, because I know all you losers complaining about it play WoW.

Actually we do. But as other games have less players in our regions invasions have a negligible impact.

Btw, I don't find the community worse than other games, though I mostly play with friends and family (done WoW AoC War T4C and a few kr games, observed Eq2 and Lotro). People are people.

No, but its bad to bring your fucking WoW antics to every new MMO. I'm fucking sick of it. When I started playing WAR, nothing but WoW fags for the first week ranting and complaining IN-GAME to one another about how the game fails, and how they called gamestop for a refund, or cancelled their account. I don't fucking care about your ranting. Opinions are welcome, but a lot of this is ranting. You don't see us invading your WoW game and forums complaining about how WoW sucks. WoW probably is a good game, but it's community fails miserably. They go as far as to complain about a game that hasn't even been fucking released yet, saying WoW is superior and that FFXIV is gonna fail.
