Interesting. Unlike other people I won't judge it by the art. I'll at least watch it. But it's certain succeeded in catching attention, like a panchira of a girl wearing neon pink pantsu.

This looks like Dead Leaves, which was awesome, but this anime will automatically fail because it has a nigger.

I was getting a little tired of your everyday anime. This will be a very refreshing break from it all... Either that, or it'll make me feel like I'm watching Cartoon Network. But I hope for the former. I loved Eva and Hanamaru youchien, so I believe in Gainax. But man, that trailer is strangely addicting to watch.

It's a Japanese animation whose art style is influenced by an American cartoon that was itself influenced by Japanese anime art style.

Like everyone else I'm on the "wait and see" side, but here's hope this show makes Gainax relevant as a creative entity again. Oh and it being a commercial hit wouldn't hurt either.

The animation style it definitely western, and there is only so much that can be implied given the artistic style of the animation, regardless of how "mature" the content may actually be.

imo - only the desperate of virgins would fap to any of those two.

The series will probably run for a season and then crash & burn. As it gets lost among the other cheesy western animation endeavours. If anything it will only cater to the under age action figures and other commercialized marketing schemes. Though its rather doubtful that it will catch on with any of the otaku, regardless of where the otaku reside (Japan or outside of Japan).

Reminds me of Invader Zim for some reason. Must be that mascot thing. The feel of the trailer makes me think of Nickelodian cartoons back in the 90s, with some typical anime pervertedness added in.

it's about time somebody parodied shitty modern day western cartoons. thick outlines on characters, badly proportioned characters, and scatological humor are traits of what americans enjoy in their cartoons.

But aside from my offensive "EngRish" rant, I'm hoping it'll be worth watching.

Obviously, they are combining Go Niagi stuff with Junko Mizuno and using Power Puff Girls and other American styled "NeoRetro" stuff ala Chris Riccardi. And it's publish or perish and they got to pay their salaries, so I actually wish them well!

I'm just hoping they get a good writer and let him LOOSE not just force "Sludge" that might be "Shocking but socially acceptable and non offensive shocking"...

Of note, did the person who did "Dead Leaves" have a hand in it? I could swear I saw elements of that art style that aren't imitated.

Ugg.. horrible from the preview.. aweful.. Looks like the horrible adult cartoons on adult swim that are so stupid. Sad to see Gainax falling to such lows.

It's manic, colorful and looks to be completely juvenile, a sort of grown-up Cartoon Network-ish type dealie that got punched in the face by Dead Leaves and raped by the Powerpuff Girls.

gainax is awesome...stop the hating! eva, FLCL, Abenobashi, Cutie Honey, Gunbuster, HIMM, if anything they get more attention for doing the thing no one else though to do, some of it is original, some of it is...ehhh...but its gainax! love it or hate it! I love it!
