Authorities are hunting a foreign woman who revived an old lady whose heart had stopped.
The incident began at the “Tokyo Bay Grand Fireworks Festival,” held in Tokyo’s central Chuou ward, where a 68-year-old woman on her way home suddenly suffered cardiopulmonary arrest and collapsed, her heart having stopped.
Witnesses report a passing foreigner immediately went to assist, using her medical training to help resuscitate the woman. After reviving the woman she slipped away.
The woman is described as being blonde and white, in her late twenties or early thirties, and an English speaker who introduced herself as a doctor.
A hotel employee who brought his hotel’s defibrillator to the scene explains her disappearance – “It was dark and extremely crowded, and before we realised it the lady doctor had disappeared. The four of us remaining were left wondering who on earth she was.”
Paramedics summoned to the scene arrived after she had left report the old lady could have died without timely intervention. She is said to be recuperating.
Officials with the local emergency services are looking for the doctor – they wish to present her with an official letter of thanks.

Cool.
Soon there will be an urban legend in Japan about a female blonde foreigner who helps people that are about to die before their time. Maybe there will be an anime about it too.
That would be nice.
:-)
Maybe there'll be some hentai about it :3
Jerk! Were taking about a shounen hit here. A women skilled enough to be whoever she wants and hides from the CIA because she's an experimental being. Think Black Jack meets...
....you know? That game where a guy who was experimented upon was loose in New York as a virus spreads? Prototype?
Then it wouldn't be shounen. It'd be josei.
Verifying... Verifying...

A heart warming story on sankaku? I'm quite surprised...
I'm surprised they're not looking to arrest her. If she'd been a man and the woman had been 60 years younger, they would.
THE Doctor? Did last regeneration turned him into female?
Mmm Sexy
A good story for making a manga.
- a mysterious foreigner who assist those in need and revive old folks.
Sweet story... Thought, it makes me wonder what will we hear from sankaku next. Maybe its start of a new heartwarming sankaku?
this is so awesome
That story sounds pretty awesome. She seems to be either the stoic type who wants to evade annoying people praising her, or she is on the run from something, like the yakuza or the police.
"EVERYone runs."

...
Go on...
Wonder if i could do this too. Had 1st aid lessons in school.
But never had to use it and its a long time since these lessons. ^^
If this is a plot for an anime it would go:
*Woman slips away from the scene. Snow covered the streets slowly and cars pass quickly through the night....
"My name is Iris Lowe"
"I have the power to revolutionize the world...."*
What's with the use of the very misleading word "hunted"? Has the said doctor done something wrong in saving a life? That word alone seems to suggest as such when it is nothing of the kind.
If Sankaku wants to maintain its usual brand of sensationalism, it can still go along the lines of "Foreign Lazarus Sought By Authorities", but it really doesn't need to spin it into something that sounds negative. IMHO
well journalism need a kinky title to sell
I drew some concerns from the erroneous usage of "hunted" as well, Kinny.
Seasoning an article in this day in age is synonymous with adding a touch of murder, no matter what the source material, it would seem.
They'll say "here's your award!" and "show us your gaijin card" in the same breath, with half a dozen immigration officials ready to arrest her at the drop of a hat...
Wow whats so mysterious about CPR?
I wonder if she even has a "Plan" to begin with.
They realised her healing powers were not that of a mere mortal and want to whisk her away for a thorough examination. eg: use crazy tech to steal her ub3r healing abilities, or eat her to gain immortality. Her sensei will be displeased with the publicity. ANIME MOVIE: where sensei goes through impossible odds to save his greatest student.
I'm betting the pic is cuter than she was,lol
woah for a minute i though that they're looking for her to be arrested for not having a license. good to see that they are actually some good people once in a while ^^
Somehow, the description had me thinking of Nino-san from Arakawa Under The Bridge.
aha! so all angels are foreign?!
Well, have you ever heard of a Japanese angel?
Albino tengu.... cursed tengus with the swordsmanship to cut steel balls.....
@ Japanese angels = Albino tengu:
Thank, now I have soda on my keyboard! lol
...and lesbian tendencies.
Thank god, such kind of person still exist(the kind that just have saved a life but don't want to be a hero...)
or she thought a thank from an old hag was more of a slap in the face than a thank ;d

When I read the title, I thought of a zombie being born for a sec there. Not someone saving another persons life. My mind is mush, full of zombie survival thoughts!

If she would've spoken japanese, it could've been Madaraki Fran..
...and I thought that this was gonna be another depressing, Bizarro-World "punish the good samaritan" story here.
Good thing this ain't one of them.
the doctor will probably be then later arrested for being foreign and then treated like an animal because japan doesn't want to lose face to some person being nice in their godforsaken country.
Not just any old letter of thanks, but an official letter of thanks! It also comes with a free membership to the Jelly of the Month Club! See, Japan values it's citizens who can still afford to live! And it's willing to award foreigners who save lives, not just with a slip of paper but with a semi-large near-posterboard size slip of paper! Never let it be said that the government of Japan is not generous to the core!!!
in the states no one would have bothered, too afraid of getting sued or arrested. heck in the states you can get arrested for not helping.
japanese version of "touch by an angel"?
Cool, now let's get back to the typical creepy/depressing/hateful news we're more used to here on SanCOm.
Just wonderful, hope the anonymous doctor receive it!
this news is diferent from the usual lol!

Or she was seen along a cheery 5 yrs old girl.
