If nintendo, Wario would be my buddy. Fighters: Dan or Sakura from street fighter, Felicia from darkstalkers (though i'm likely to be a bit more friendly with her).
If touhou I'd be boozing it up with Yuugi (yes not Suika) all night long, marisa seems nice too.
But what the hell is this list, I think even some pet yoshi would be a better friend than mario.
