OK this one was a filler but at least filled with Lucchini, yuri and Barkhorn in wehrmacht sukumizu :) The episodes of season 2 are a bit strange - they jump between moe-drama-action-more_moe, S1 had some pace

The direction for that episode was horrid; no flow at all.

Graphics aside, there something horribly wrong with scripting and directing in the second season.
The series now look like a poor animated rendition of amateur theater routines glued together. Lifeless, uninspiring, not convincing, quick to fall apart. Where have all the character behind the characters gone?
They kill about one an episode, but it looks like they want to do some more character development as of late.
This one was Perrine oriented, made her a whole lot more sympathetic than she was in the first season, least from my perspective and I normally got a weak spot for Meganekkos. Still think she needs to loosen up a tad, but otherwise she's not as irksome as she was before.
Lucchini also had one with the Grand Duchess of Romagna. Again, meant to make her more sympathetic, but to me it just highlighted how irresponsible she is, considering she spent the money meant for the shopping trip on treating others.
And Eila also had one, and that one rather succeeded in making her more sympathetic as well. The whole how much she loves Sanya thing. Still gets a tad too full of her self at times, but she's a lot more understandable now, for lack of a better term.
Based on the preview, looks to be Hartman's turn next.
