Hayate no Gotoku Drama Announced

Kugyu anime Hayate no Gotoku is reportedly to be adapted into a TV drama by a Taiwanese TV studio.
The actors taking on the leading roles have already been announced:
The original series itself has already been localised in Taiwan, where even Kugimiya commands a significant following.
With the transition not only from anime to drama but also from Japan to Taiwan, just how much the drama will resemble the original is a matter of some speculation – certainly it will be a very different viewing experience.

They should start with Hayate being young and helped by Athena as the prologue, rather than start the series with Nagi.

Artistic license and practicality failure. It really would be better if they were played by the age they are but you can't get around the romance.

actually. if its taiwanese its gona be as close to an anime as a drama can be. with exaggerated expressions and even changed backgrounds create mood. although i'd rather not see it like that tho. i'd rather see a hayate drama that is more realistic. just to make it interesting.

GTO dorama matches the anime in awesomeness, although perhaps that is the exception to the rule...

Yep, definitely the tragic endings stereotype is something you can usually find in K-dramas especially that cancer part.. Lol, I remembered seeing about three series of K-dramas aired on TV and one funny but common thing they shared was that the three of them had main heroes who suffered cancer.. Makes you wonder if hunks in Korea are really prone to cancer.
