The bankruptcy of figure maker Taki Corporation has been confirmed – rather than wondering why, those confronted by their figure portfolio are wondering why it took so long:
Their figure business is reportedly being picked up by another company, so their current and future operations will not be immediately affected.

That is some China quality designs there.
QUALITY that never goes out of style...
Quality that never goes into style.
Nothing can prevent my love for Eruruu-sama~
yeah that one was actually a good figure!
I understand what you meant here, but actually all the japanese figures are made in china, even the best ones
well, is there anything which isn't made in china, I wonder...
lolis arent made in china
AHAHAHAHA SHO FUNNEE.
That joke didn't even make sense you know?
shoes are from thailand for example ; O
actually china make a lot of loli...
*stare at world biggest population*
yes they make a lot of loli...
the figurines, look so... chinese O_o
"actually china make a lot of loli..."
Not anymore, they don't. :(
http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2010/08/10/chinese-babies-developing-breasts/
they still produce a lot of loli... just remove the DFC type... what a sad day...
It's only mass produced in China. So it's more like China quality design.
they produce loli slave too
oh wait that was north korea
You're an idiot if you think all Japanese figures are made in China. Japanese people make some of the most beautiful and highly-detailed figures in the world. Sadly, these ones aren't any of them.
uhh... the sculptors are paid and live in japan however once the prototype model is done its sent to china to be produced... so technically its still made in china
I have a few Japanese figures and while, yes, they are designed in Japan, they where produced in China. I have a Chrono Crusade figure, a Holo SD figure and a Miku SD figure, all made in Japan. I also have a U.S. released Final Fantasy figure, also made in China. Anything that was made in Japan you might pay out the @$$ for, otherwise it's between $5-200.
I have a few figures I would deem high quality, and they were indeed made in China. Not everything from there turns out bad.
Jokes on you Falcon.
I think my clothes are made in Vietnam
Worthy of having their own "Figure Failure Gallery".
But I wouldn't risk the eye cancer tho.....
The To Heart 2 figurine in image 1 & 2 connects back to back, arms hooked to the To Heart 2 figurine in picture 7.
That should allow the figurine's pose to make a little more sense.
I doubt you know what is quality design
Natural selection at work. Or something like that.
agreed
Yeah. For producing those they certainly deserve a Darwin Award.
Natural selection leads the survivors STRONGER and BETTER..!
*stares at his Jill Valentine RE5 BSAA figure*
At making PVC figures, that is...
LOL at the Albert Wesker reference!
The human (or PVC figure) race requires judgement!
The plushie isnt that bad looking :P
Everything else hurts my eyes though :P
The first pic...Reverse rape with a side of yandere...
She has that "Love me only, onii-chan or I'll cut your d*ck off with these rusty sewing scissors and throw it off the roof of the school during P.E. class" look...
The DCC ones weren't THAT bad... But yeah.
I can't say as I am surprised by this. For years this company have been releasing poorly made figures. Griffon Enterprise was another back then that also made me wary of buying from. Their image now seems a lot better compared to those days.
What are those? Props from horror movie or something?
They're Tim Burton's series of rejected models from Nightmare Before Christmas..
Ah yes Taki Corp.
I remember them for all those fugly ikkitousen figures.
Every time a new one came out i was like, "Who's going to buy this shit?"
actually, I think there are some other figure makers that are at least in the same level (of mediocrity), like Kaitendoh and Taito...
well, I won't miss Taki, so... I only hope Alter and GSC stop delaying figures every month... u___u
Even funnier was the amount of $$$ they charged for those half baked figures. Worst price-quality ratio ever.
What's wrong with the first figure?¿?¿ :S what were they thinking
No HD.
taki is probably one of the worst figure manufacturers on the market. the quicker their crap gets liquidated the better.
Artefact, I think you misspelled 'Tacky'.
LOL, nice!
Well, if they sold them for like 1/10 of the "normal" figurine price, I guess they'd have a chance...
I don't think so... we buy figurine because it LOOKS GOOD!!! if it's LOOKS BAD who the hell will buy it? even though it's cheap it's lose it's core value...
You mean these aren't some of those counterfeit figures you see every now and then?
The Misaka Mikoto figure doesn't look like Misaka Mikoto at all.
I only recognized her because of the pants...
I wonder why they didn't sell some of them look cute but some of them look creepy.
Hmm, some of them are okay as bargain-bin snatches. Something to fill up space in less visited areas of your home.
However, i have to admit that, in case of high profile licenses like To Aru Index/Railgun, they have some balls to release trademark figures with no resemblance to the original. Misakas pose is okay but her face is completely off.
"the exorcist" figure is excellent
