Mugi is the 'CRAZY GIRL' of the bunch precisely because of her strict rich-girl upbringing.
You'd think Ritsu would be the crazy type, but she's just a wacky type. Mugi is the crazy girl who surprises everyone again and again. I love Mugi.
That episode that was mainly about Mugi was amazingly funny. Hooch is crazy... or Mugi... whatever.

2nd least popular? Who's on first? Wait, let's not get into that routine. Seriously though, is it the turtle? Because the turtle is the worst mascot character EVER!
I never liked Ritsu or Mio. If I had to choose between the two though, Mio wins in the looks department with her big black hair, but her characterization and personality are ass, so Ritsu wins by default. Ui is the best. The rest of the cast can't compete.
I know exactly what you mean about Mugi. She gets the least amount of episodes and screen time, so its hard for them to really make a character out of her. Plus she seems too weird for me... being all into yuri and being a machocist and stuff. Sometimes less character development is better then more in her case...

You and all the rest on Sankaku might find me weird, but I like yuri only if it's something sexual. I don't like the idea of a yuri relationship in an anime. I don't know why, maybe it's because I don't recognize myself in it, which I usually do in male protagonists?

Being into yuri IS weird in Tsumugi's case -- because as far as we've seen, she has no interest in other girls herself. Why does she like to watch if she's not actually gay? It's not unheard of, but it's definitely unusual.

Mugi's the best. Crazy, childish, surprises and a naive personality. She may be the most reserved, but has a great heart.
However, she's been underestimated by the K-ON! fandom, though. She was the saddest of the group when they realized the time to move on was at hand.
