I'm a bit surprised they didn't make it a full season anime.
Actually if you think about it it'd be pointless. Consider the cencorship we've seen and heard the past few seasons. It will become another Seikon no Quaser but with audio cencors.
It'd be nice but you'd probably be best off waiting for the tv season to come ou on DVD/Blu-ray and THEN watch it.

Chobits had them IIRC. The atmosphere is even somewhat similar even though themes differ greatly.
