“Catherine” Has Full Sex Scenes

Like many others have said, sex scenes in Japan are more strictly controlled. Look at those scenes. Even though the scene is there, it is heavily covered and mostly implied. No full frontal nudity or the like.

Also, the fact that they're shooting for 360 release probably means Atlus is smart enough to release this for western audiences, probably on both consoles. Not like the stupid hither-dither attitude of Namco Bandai or Square Enix in regards to timely western localizations.

Even though I'm a pirate, I'll get the original disk for this game once it comes out.

If DLC is released for this game (whic of course I'm not expecting that to happen) I hope they allow international download. Proxies are a pain in the ass.

they should just release it with mature or adults only rating and let the adults decide what to play... There's not a big difference between this and those sex scenes in God of War, these seem more visual. C'mon Sony, step you game up.

I've only gone for Ashley in Mass Effect 1 but there was nudity similar to the second image.

I don't recall ever seeing a sex scene in Red Dead Redemption. when does this happen?
and Europe > Japan > North America on sexual content. North America > Japan > Europe on violence, blood, and gore. Different cultural standards.

It's a shame because anime used to have extreme violence and sexual content.

I believe the RDR sex scene is when you walk in on that leader of the resistance and he's boning some fat slut. It's pretty gross, which is why I probably forgot all the details. Maybe you saw her breasts, and the thrusting motion is pretty clear, but that's about it.

What about Heavy Rain... It had a sex scene and exposed breasts...

Pissed off soccer moms haven't been relevant in relation to protesting things in.... years. In fact people complain more often about fictitious ones reacting to things than they actually do.

Even then it's been the opposite of a negative effect. The original was way back when US sitcom Married... With Children aired. Some woman protested the fuck out of it and ended up netting it serious publicity.

I'm sorry this isn't another Persona full of hyperactive pre-teen solving murders Scooby Doo-style. Fuck off.

Sub-par 3D graphics (rather than cleanly drawn 2D), unappealing ero-content (in much part due to the graphics), and pseudo-hip hop music? Trailer does not impress.

I don't think the game is meant to be awe inspiring in the graphics department. Atlus tends to do well with music, gameplay, and story. Persona 4 got a 9 from GameInformer Magazine and that game doesn't have wonderful graphics.

i'm liking the direction they are taking gaming. i just beat mass effect 2 and realized that alot of the jrpg's are better for the "me" in my early teens. now an adult, it's nice to see that there are games for the "me" of today too. this is one such game.

it's important to make both innocent games and mature games, but now that i am an adult, i want to side with the adult game genre (gta, morrowind, mass effect, silent hill, tales of vesperia.) vesperia might be a stretch, but yuri's "night killing" bumped it up to a more serious style for me.

on a side note, i was playing arc rise fantasia, and the older characters said i should push forward my advantage and kill my rivals now that they were weakened, but the main character L'arc threw a "friendship" speech on them. i want to just kill them and get them out of the way. a more adult themed game would toss mercy to the side and let me decide. i don't think i will finish it.

It's not wrong having different preferences over years;
e.g. when I was a teen I preferred hentai and violent content in general; Now I am more appreciative of a quality plot and gameplay.

Also, having freedom of choice in your role is a wonderful thing, really. It's what makes games more immersible than movies.

I agree with Darkrockslizer. I mean a friendship speech on a rival is getting pretty old since it's in alot of shounen anime now. It's nice when you can choose give them the speech or chop their heads off.

It's some sort of side story, not really a Persona game.

It's definitely a SMT/Persona game for one main reason, Vincents cameo in P3P insures that he does in fact reside in the same universe as the SMT/Persona games in some way, and not just some random Atlus game universe. Chances are this will be released as "SMT: Catherine" and not "Persona" because this is announced as an Action Adventure/Horror game, so it's not an RPG like Personas have been, it's probably like a Survival Horror/Mystery game, since the main character doesnt seem to "fight" in any way in the trailer.

That doesn't mean anything. Characters making cameo's on completely different games is nothing new. They won't be sharing continuity until the producers explicitly say so.

His cameo in P3P was meant to hype up Catherine, since it's clear that Atlus has put alot of effort into this game.

There is no gameplay footage or detail thus far so arguing whether this is part of SMT or not is not really going to get anywhere.
