Atlus: Be Seduced by a Sultry Temptress in “Catherine”

Newly announced ero-horror action adventure “Catherine,” by the team behind Persona, may not be an RPG, but it does appear the developers really are serious about its adult elements, promising the seduction of protagonist Vincent by the titular Catherine.
Sadly it seems unlikely Sony (and by extension Microsoft) will allow a Japanese game the same liberties with sexual content as it does overseas.

"Catherine is a horror action adventure game with an adult theme in development at Team Persona. The game puts players in the role of a character named Vincent, a man with no ambitions in his life. He lives a casual day, but at night, he is stalked in his nightmares by a nympho named Catherine – where he cannot escape. The game’s action sequences will primarily take place in Vincent’s nightmare world.
Game director Katsura Hashino told Famitsu that they wanted to create an adult game for a change and that before they created a role-playing game for high-definition platforms, they wanted a crack at this first.
The team also tells the magazine that a story of such fear involving love has not been done before and that they feel this is their most interesting project yet."

They hinted at P5 at least 3 times in the interviews. I forgot whom, but it was quoted "After this we will continue on the game where girls and boys fight".
In typical anime-style fashion, I bet he gets NO action at all while Catherine teases for 100 hours.

i seriously hope the american localization does keep the same content as the japanese release. in all honesty, it'd seem like it would get an 18+ rating or R if it ever did come over to north america.
It's more likely to be the other way round - the Japanese version could well be more heavily censored (although it seems likely they will just censor all versions to the level of the Japanese version). Heavy Rain, GoW, RDR - all had their sexual content axed in the Japanese versions.

i predict severe ero-cuts in English release and it's saddens me. i might be forced to buy ps3 jap. version and hope to understand interface. i reckon i would be able to play non-rpg game and understand plot based on my understanding of speaking Japanese. I've still yet to play game on Japanese language except eroge with help of Translation Aggregator translator. but again i might be mistaken only time will tell.

Artefact speaks some truth but there are cases where localization censors as well. Example: See Yakuza 3.
