Love Plus can serve as good practice for having a real girlfriend, says someone with no girlfriend.

One 21-year-old Tokyo salaryman was buying goods at a seaside fireworks show. It was his third time there, he said: “It’s fun experiencing the game world together with the real one.”
He has a girlfriend in the game now, but no real one. “I think this might be good practice for when I can get a real girlfriend” he says. He intends to spend more time at a hotel next month with another Love Plus player.
Whilst it has often been called an “alternative” to real women, this is perhaps the first time it has been called mere practice for one.
Just whether any of this practice at doting over a DS is any use in securing a real mate is quite another question.

I thought it would be opposite. Otakus probably view a real woman as practice for a love plus woman.
Does the game account for monthly cycles? If not, it most certainly does not prep you for what women are really like.
