I know I can't believe people don't recognize cell shading when they see it.I always notice it and it usually looks cheesy and out of place.
Of course it's highly detailed when the characters were pre-rendered. This season has a huge drop in production costs compared to the first season.
Cell shading is a truly genius invention as it makes our lives even easier.
Also it's what makes long battle scenes among detailed robots like in Gundam 00 possible! The 70ties hand-drawn shit is unwatchable.

Fun fact: Finland beat the living shit outta Russia during the Winter war of 1939/1940 (even though the Reds eventually prevailed). Arguably two of the most virulent enemies of the whole World War II era.

The Finland was morally right and Russians were no better than Nazi during WW2.
Finland had better organization and strategy while Russia had numbers and air force superiority. Should the global powers start to shift again, they'd be at it again. Sucks to be neighboring them...
I think that has to do more with the fact that Russians fill every city in Finland once their summer vacation begins. Not all of them but many cause trouble like littering, general distress and speeding they can't be even fined for.
It's not really their fault, rather it's more of a difference in the cultures. Although since Finland is in general cleaner, safer and much more expensive you'd think they would at least try to uphold these two things that seem to make Finland such a desired holiday destination for them.
Russians usually just don't give a shit, which makes them difficult for the Finnish to understand. I think it's a misconception to think that the Finnish were still bitter over the War or something.
